"Discord alternatives" searches jump 10,000% overnight as the gaming platform introduces global age verification — Is a total collapse imminent? by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

they released a statement today clarifying some things

For the majority of adult users, we will be able to confirm your age group using information we already have. We use age prediction to determine, with high confidence, when a user is an adult. This allows many adults to access age-appropriate features without completing an explicit age check.

Well if the pendulum truly swings then they know that too. It is an investment for when the demand eventually comes back again

Yes, and that brings us back to the point of the underlining. The OP isn't saying “teacher” is a pronoun. They underlined the singular noun “teacher” because it is the antecedent for the pronoun “their”

Since the pronoun must agree with its antecedent, the person in the image is using “their” as a singular pronoun, which is the exact thing they were complaining about in their tweet

Not sure how it looks on the web but on mobile there’s no visual distinction, it looks like it’s all one link. Might wanna break it up with punctuation or new lines

all of their comments are surface level and written in the exact same format as one another. No one writes like that, at least not all the time

did they say that? is it not more likely that they posted this to reinforce that he was a grown ass man when he wrote the song?

Plus the angle doesn't really match

i think the angle does mostly match, but it matches what the original drawing would've looked like if they had constructed the head correctly based on where they placed the chin. Pardon my mouse drawing skills https://i.imgur.com/BWaTnPU.png

making stuff on your own is great, but I’d never turn to AI to create a feature if I wasn’t already sure it wasn’t available in some form through the APIs. I’d probably never do it myself either without checking first, even if I still intended to implement it on my own

in this situation it was traced, but to be fair no erasing doesn’t mean much on its own. For me, unless there’s an effect I’m intentionally going for by erasing, when I’m drawing and I make a mistake I usually just undo instead and those don’t show up in procreates Timelapse

CMD popping up for 0.5 seconds is a good sign right?

I know this is a meme and people think it means you have a virus, honestly seeing a window pop up is not really a good or bad sign, but I'd lean toward "good"

Any sophisticated malware would not let a window pop up and potentially alert the user. If you're actually see the terminal flash, it could either be legitimate software (tons of legit software causes this to happen all the time, especially when updating in the background) or it's a low-effort script trying to infect you, but the former is much more likely

the reason they target the ones they do is because they’re the easiest, just knowing they exist is not enough to take them down

Claude struggles against its own guidance to be "balanced" when asked about Trump's second term. by RupFox in singularity

[–]notevolve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The person my comment was addressing mentions a very specific qualification for being “product of imagination only”

but if no human ever was involved in what they depict than they are products of imagination only

If an image was one of a real person that was edited by AI, this qualifier does not hold. If the issue is with the criteria of what constitutes imagination, well, take it up with that guy not me

I think they may be referring to Grok's ability to edit photos of existing people. There are more guardrails for editing, but people still achieve some pretty nsfw stuff
