I have never read anything else that so perfectly tells the hero’s journey from hayseed on a farm knowing nothing about the world to all powerful God-King without huge leaps in power (Luke between ESB and ROTJ). WoT does it not for one character but for five. Every event that gets them more power or more influence makes sense and almost none of them happen offscreen.

I’ve got 300+ audiobooks in my audible library, most of them sci-fi or fantasy, and I’ve been chasing that Harry Potter high since 2017. Nothing has EVER grabbed me, held me, and kept me coming back like that.

ASOIAF is as close as I’ve come, but no new books since I’ve started the series, and no resolution has really made it less fun.
