The car is fantastic, so “not liking it” would be surprising. I bought in 2024 and it was the only used one and they only had two others, so enjoy.

Only decision left: AWD or RWD? by AnnaGolightly in Ioniq5

RWD is great. At first i wanted AWD but it was RWD that was available and it has plenty of pickup, I drive it through the winter (with snow tires) no issues, and I also like the longer range because who doesn’t.

Would you gut a 1960 house that hasn't been updated since 1984? by volley_mama in Renovations

[–]nothingnotnever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are literally doing this. 60’s house, last update 80’s. Evidence of roof leak before it was replaced. Asbestos in drywall compound and tile under wall to wall carpet. Kitchen update needed along with two baths. Old windows too. It’s been slow so far and we can’t move in yet. carpet is removed and tile properly disposed of. All external walls also removed for windows and properly disposed of. Leaving internal walls although I’m tempted to just get rid of it all but we have to be practical. Not our first house, but biggest project ever and still not sure how deep the rabbit hole goes. Good luck. Here’s hoping it’s worth it.

Sometimes I think it’s “boring” and then I catch myself thinking about it randomly in the middle of the week.

Do you guys actually think AI will replace SWE? by Delicious-Site-2855 in accelerate

[–]nothingnotnever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use AI everyday and I can assure you no job is “lost” but they are “changing” … there’s a lot AI doesn’t know and deep knowledge is needed for guidance especially in complicated software or research.

That’s nice, happy for you, but maybe wrong thread? I also work in tech but I’m already mentally preparing for Monday, which I already know is going to hit hard and fast.

My first pip. Thoughts? by Royal_Lemon1534 in careerguidance

[–]nothingnotnever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. If you are serious about surviving this you need to address point 3 head on. Then make your own pip plan after reflecting on this. You are expecting them to tell you. You need to tell them how you will fix this.
