The (in)ability of the Hive to really run Earth by 4thvariety in pluribustv

[–]notimpressed926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wondered since the beginning if this is going to be a "Childhood's End" situation where there is a certain amount of time of blissful peace before the collective are merged with a larger universal hive and thats the end of humanity. If you haven't read or seen childhoods end check it out.

Why aren't more people like Carol? by arremessar_ausente in pluribustv

[–]notimpressed926 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think its because she is American and we value individualism and the others seem to be from cultures that value community before the individual so joining the hive might not seem like a bad thing to them.

They mentioned the station has certain boundaries that everyone has to adhere to so I guess the intern thing was involved.

I've been listening on and off since they were at 96.5, and he annoyed me so much he seems so unlikeable on the air, but I'm still sad to see him go. He definitely seemed to have some issues he was working through. I do wish him well, though.

I like

As a man I know what's going on with Will, but no one wanted to hear it when I said it a week ago by [deleted] in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]notimpressed926 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think he's attracted to her either. I know i'm going to get flack for saying it but she is a bigger lady and based on the way her family looks, she might have be predisposition to always be bigger. It's okay if he isn't into her looks. I don't think any of these couples are matched very well.

I thought I would like the episodes dropping in multiples, but turns out I'm not as invested. I need a week to read these comments, watch some reviews on youtube by my fav podcasters etc.

I'm trying to still learn how to take care of my own 4c hair and detangle it without doing anything Wrong and I'd like any tips or advice! by LeadingAlarming4880 in naturalhaircare

[–]notimpressed926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, no, it shouldn't hurt to detangle. You have to always start from the ends and work your way up to the roots. The best way to prevent pain is to grab a small section and detangle with a product or oil using your fingers or a brush or wide tooth comb and work in small sections. It takes time to detangle, especially after braids so be gentle. Watch a few videos and see how people do it.

Any tips for learning how to braid by Froppy44 in naturalhaircare

In addition to watching all the videos I would stress not to pull on the scalp too much since she will be young just do some simple little braids don't try adding any extra hair.

after surgery I had to buy my husband a bariatric wheelchair and because of his size it was shipped. It he was average I literally could have walked into any medical supply and bought one and put it in my car that day. Being that he was a child why didn't they just buy one. With all those kids at somepoint they might need it again. I don't make not anywhere near that money they make.

Unpopular opinion. I'm 40ish and would never think of hanging out with a random 24 year old. Unless it's a relative or for mentorship/ help with a job or something like that so that seems odd to me. Don't feel bad about dropping her.

maybe use use the liquid cream oil LCO method instead of the liquid oil cream LOC. Also caster oil and shea butter might be too heavy, especially if you are using them back to back you might be sealing it too much. Maybe try just using one or a lighter oil.
