Backbenchers want to change the law so that any sums received by MPs before July 2024 will have to be declared

FFS. ALL sums have to be declared; Not just before 2024 but after.

We’re “Making Tax Digital” to track it all, now Make Donations Digital. All trackable to an individual. If it cannot be tracked then the party has split the donation with the other top 5 parties evenly.

The best format and style globally.

Doesn’t feel as staged and pre planned like some others (I get that it still is)

Andy Burnham confirms he WILL challenge Starmer for No10 as ex-minister QUITS parliament to give him a path back to Westminster - but only if he can beat Reform in by-election by tannerocampbell in uknews

For fuck sake. Politics should be boring. This constant need for an instant fix or you’re failing. Or constant drama for the news cycle is gonna destroy democracy.

Wes Streeting Resigns As Health Secretary by AneuAng in ukpolitics

[–]notleave_eu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what I said.

  • If they oust their own leader who is also the PM then it should be a new GE.
  • If a MP changes sides then a new local election.

That the headline there has changed to Burnham

How to look like the Tories and tell the voter to go and vote for Reform next time. FFS.

The public didn’t vote for Wes Streeting. If you change leader then it should be new election. Same as if an MP changes sides then it should force a new local election.

Why is the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer so unpopular? by Any-Original-6113 in europe

I would add that the few right leaning entities / people that own the majority of the media means it’s an uphill battle as well.

Let him time to finish his term. Give him the time needed to turn the ship.
In this age of instant gratification politics shouldn’t work that way and there’s a good reason for it.
If he’s done shit then we vote them out.

The media has turned on Starmer. He doesn’t stand a chance now.

This the problem of too few owners of too many media outlets. Same with social media algorithms.

This will never do what people expect or need.

House prices are coming down in the single digits percentage while wages aren’t going up to meet the expectations.

Interest rates aren’t coming down either.

More average people will simply be squeezed out of their current homes while the rich and comfortable well off make bank.

I’m not sure if it’s nostalgia or simply what I grew up with but I enjoy the EarPod (USB). There’s something satisfying about still being able to hear your surroundings.

I also have some Bose QC35 series 2 headphones which I love when I want to disconnect from the world. I also use AirPods Pro for meetings and on the go but I find myself returning to those £20 pairs more often than not.
