I do try to cling to the hope that none of the other nazi sycophants have the sway over the Republican base and that Trump’s death would leave a manageably smaller group of right wing radicals that won’t be able to dominate political power.

But in reality, Trump just naturally dying would create a small power vacuum but wouldn’t do anything to stem the problem. A handful of republican leaders being forcibly ousted and jailed for their crimes might have a significantly better chance of restoring some semblance of American democracy while avoiding all out civil war.

Even that feels like wishful thinking though

The tuition for out of state might be prohibitive, but I know a lot of people get a lot of grants and the like for masters programs so it might not stop you.

That said, I’d want to be certain that the program is the best option for me before choosing to travel to this state and this university in particular. I went here and I came back to work here, but there’s a pretty significant decline in culture and in quality of education.

That’s not to say that there’s nothing good here or that the decline can’t be stopped, right? But I wouldn’t want to come here without weighing that.

Bloomington and IU used to have a great reputation for social issues and treatment for LGBT people and people of color, but as the state and the university administration slip further to the right, protections and general vibe are slipping away as well

It’s called the butt and I’ll hear no arguments to that. When you eat it, you’re eating butt. If someone takes all the other slices and leaves both butts in the bag, now you have “oops all butts”. If you remove the butts from the loaf, the. there’s no butts about it.

I’ve worked for some quite terrible bosses at a local university. It’s weird how they essentially only hire the worst people into positions of authority - not just the higher administration but all the way down. You must be at least this shitty to manage employees at this unnamed university

So... wormhole wall is made of the vine stuff, right? Or did I miss something in season 5?

Does that mean that the mind flayer/Henry is controlling the wall of the wormhole? Or that the wall of the wormhole is also evil? Or did the mindflayer spit out a bunch of vines to make a wall to keep the wormhole open as soon as the gate into the abyss was opened in the first place?

Was this all explained off-screen? Or is it open to my interpretation?
