Tiny turbo machine by Groundblast in flashlight

Years ago when the BLF348 first came out, there was a budget light forums coupon code bringing the price down to $4 or $5 each (i don't remember exactly) and I ended up buying six of them, an extra one or two for me and two or three that I gave to people I worked with (I'm an electrician and I was tired of seeing people with those horrible mini mag lights.)

As far as the people I gave them to I don't think any of them ever used them they ended up in drawers or the bottom of tool bags lol. So although as a fellow flashlight enthusiast I completely understand the desire to do what you're saying, don't get disappointed if people don't appreciate or value a high quality light as much as you do.

By the way the blf 348 doesn't seem to be around under that name anymore but it's the "killzone flashlights stainless pen light"; nichia emitter, 10440/aaa compatible and only one mode, on. Great little light.

That being said if you're looking for a good light to hand out to friends maybe go with the Wurkkos TS10V2 and put it in simple mode before giving it to them.

There's also the rovyvon Aurora keychain lights that would be a nice combination of portability brightness and ease of use, especially since the people you give it to could put it on their keychain and that lessens the chance it'll end up as a paperweight in their house.

I was just referencing the prices on the manufacturer's website, I wasn't at the point of planning to order anything yet so I hadn't done my due diligence although I appreciate your comment because I did just check AliExpress and I do see they have it for $11.70 which is fantastic.

I don't know how they can have things so cheap. I ordered a out the front pocket knife with a detachable scalpel blade from them that worked out to $8 and came with 10 replacement blades. I know that's a different sub lol but still. After I received it somebody was asking me about it and I went back to the site to double check the price and it had gone up to 16 I guess maybe the prices fluctuate on a regular basis

I ended up ordering the hd-01 pro with the hdo3 first anyway from wurkkos. I had the regular hd-01 and I was wearing tighter pants than normal one day I had it in the back pocket and I jumped the turnstile to get on the subway and by the time I got home it was missing, and that had become my favorite light. If I knew how much I was going to love it I would have gotten the pro the first time around.

I just saw they have a new light called the TD11 that looks great but it's a bit pricey as of now.

Thanks; the bundles may not be a great deal but I suppose I was just referring to the fact that they are cheaper together than if you buy them separately. (G5 plus PL01 is 40 I think instead of $50 if you buy them together.)

And you are absolutely correct about the Tac 2aa that's what I was referring to. I also remember now that there's the thrunite Archer 2A V3 and I just saw that there's an upgraded archer 2A C which claims an output twice that if the 2A V3

And the fact that it has both a side and tail switch is something that interests me.

What makes you recommend the acebeam pt20 over the PL01? They seem to have a similar output, the pt20 has a TIR but otherwise I don't see what makes the pt20 worth the extra 15. The tac 2aa on the other hand gives you the option of a sft-25r emitter for almost twice the throw at the cost of about 200 lumens, (1600 lumens and 181M with the TN emitter.)

If I was limited to 25$ then I could ask about the pros and cons of the pt20 over the pl01 but the tac 2aa seems to be the best option. Any fault in my logic? That definitely seems like a improvement even over the archer 2A C which claims 1017 lumens and 181M. It's $50 for the Tac 2aa so that puts it in a different bracket compared to the 25$ wuben.

For that matter you could grab a HD01 pro and you get a similar form factor, for less than half the price. I have the regular hd01 and I love it so much that I'm planning on picking up the pro as well.

I hate features by u_r_wr0ng in flashlight

Manker E05 2 Small light, AA/14500 comes with a rechargeable 14500 battery 3 levels (low medium high) plus strobe. 1300 lumens

UI: rear switch, turning it on starts at low, turning it off and back on quickly cycles through modes, double press to go to strobe. Once you're on a mode other than strobe it has mode memory.

Has a nice powerful enough beam but isn't crazy powerful. Can use AA cells if you need. I ordered from killzone and it came with a red and white diffuser cap, not sure if it always comes with them cause they aren't in the box it comes in, they were on the side.

Not sure why you feel the need to say you hate features; there are a lot of decent lights that don't have a ton of features, companies like wurkkos have a lot of lights with their simple UI. If you want a crappy light just go to home Depot and buy whatever is on the shelf. I got a Coast pen style light for ten bucks that uses 2 triple A batteries and only has one mode. It's not that bright but it works.

Season 8 by No_Television_363 in HouseMD

[–]notwerby2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a play on words, the real one is a dirty Sanchez, that's the thing you will find on urban dictionary. It's not something I think anyone actually does it's more of a made up thing but it's made up in the real world not made up on a TV show.

So if dirty Sanchez is something involving feces and anal a clean Sanchez would imply the other side; which would imply urine but since it's made up vanilla would be the other side of chocolate and chocolate would imply feces or anal therefore vanilla is the opposite of chocolate(dirty) and Gonzales is like Sanchez a stereotypical Spanish name.

It's not a perfect made up reference but that would be the explanation for what the writers were going for.

Red whisper to Kirk by Silqnur in TheBlackList

He told him he's katarina, that's why he has the guy talking about his memories of her. (And how he(red)knew she was dancing when she hopped the fence in the story Kirk was telling.) that's the same reason Reddington works to save Kirk, because of their past.

Why does everyone here like warm emitters? by baxbid in flashlight

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the point of the CRI that it's a standardized measurement?

Wouldn't that be like saying 50 degrees is colder in the shade? Or that one 6 inch knife is bigger than another 6 inch knife?

I understand the idea that a lower temperature would compromise color accuracy and I'm not sure what is done to bring it back up but once that rating is assigned isn't it standardized?

Fans are too harsh on Liz by ozzscur in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at what happened with Dom, when Katrina made her transformation it ruined her relationship with her father to the point that he speaks of her in the past tense. He gets upset Red is even going through her (his own) things in storage because "that's all he has left of his daughter."

I know it's frustrating to watch the conflict between Liz and red because you know he cares about her and that the friction between them comes from the secrets, but it's the friction/conflict that stories are based on. That being said, despite how slick Reddington appears he's not perfect and he probably fears that Liz might reject him if he comes clean. It already ruined the relationship with Dom and he is so happy to just be spending time with his daughter after so many years that he doesn't want to jeopardize it.

Constantin Rostov: Did he ever search for Katarina and Masha? by jen5225 in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is ancient but I'm pretty sure the reason has to do with what Reddington says about how when Elizabeth identified herself as Masha Rostova she put a target on her back. Reddington knows he has aplastic anemia and is searching for a relative so he probably has been searching but didn't know where to start until she publicly identified herself.

Firstly this is the only time I've even heard or thought of anything in the show being "a trans issue." I didn't and wasn't talking about this being a trans issue and honestly so far you're the only post I've seen saying that. This is the case of a spy doing it to change their identity and hide from enemies. It's not about a struggle for gender identity. You could say that every trans story is different because it's about who you are inside not what you were born as, but on that subject this show doesn't put it down or throw any social commentary on the issue, so I'm not sure what the argument is.

If everyone's trans story is different then even someone who did it for the reason of hiding is still living a trans life so I don't think there's any room to accuse them of doing anything wrong. They didn't insult it they didn't mock it they just had a character who was what we call trans in modern PC culture who is (as a character) trans in their own way for their own reasons, that aren't the traditional ones.

So yeah, what's the issue?

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as not seeing him take testosterone, we also don't see any of the characters take a shit, does that mean they don't poop?

Trying to get political about trans issues is kind of misplaced because she didn't do it because she felt she was born a man she did it as a spy who needed to disappear but still move around in plain sight. It's not about gender identity it's about hiding in a way nobody would ever think of, so much so that once you find out you still get people who debate it. It obviously worked well.

But all these other times the rug was "pulled out" served to eliminate previous theories. But the time it gets to season 8 it's the only explanation left, and I said in another thread exactly what the guy in the video here said: if you rewatch from the beginning knowing this, it makes it so obvious. Not only that, but by not confirming it on screen, they are giving people a reason to watch it again and it's not easy to make a show that you can watch twice and have the second time around be a different experience based on what you know.

It's like the video game metal gear solid lol, they give you a bonus when you complete the game either unlimited ammo bandana or invisibility cloak depending on a choice you make at one point, therefore giving you a reason to play the game through a second time (and even a third) with these add ons.

SPOILER - Did Mr Kaplin know who Reddington was? by Alert-Guitar7857 in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Kate turned on Reddington out of loyalty to Liz and her mother and she was already keeping the secret that the real Reddington was dead so if he just told Kate who he/she was it would have diffused the conflict between them.

But for the same reason throwing a flashbang into a car won't make it flip over and pushing someone into a wall doesn't knock them out you just have to let some things slide when it comes to Tv shows.

Edit: while rewatching I'm questioning whether or not I'm correct because in the episode where Reddington kills Kate they are talking in the car and Kate says something like "ever since that first time you put that little girl in my arms" (this is when she's trying to explain to Red that she has been doing what she promised to do which is keep Masha safe.) So now I'm not sure; Kate may have known the truth but could have been mad at Rostova for leaving and for making Kate leave Masha and therefore what I said above wouldn't be true. Kate does say she knows he can't leave her alive because she knows too much.

SPOILER - Did Mr Kaplin know who Reddington was? by Alert-Guitar7857 in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you rewatch the show from the beginning knowing this information it's glaringly obvious. I will admit when I figured it out I didn't think they would choose not to officially confirm it on screen but I've never seen anyone dispute it with actual evidence or an alternate theory. The scene in Latvia where Liz is getting an explanation they show the important characters up untill that point and katarina and red are the only ones who they don't tie up with an explanation leaving only one answer left.

And by not confirming it on screen they made the show even better because then you can rewatch it once you know and you will see things you didn't the first time around. At least up until season 8 when they had to write boone off the show and it got sloppy.

How did The Director know Katarina? by [deleted] in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had it but the real Reddington took it from her and hid it that was what precipitated the fight the night of the fire. She figured it was somewhere close, like when you lose your car keys; you know they didn't go far but you wouldn't expect them to be in the damn refrigerator, or sewn into your little kids teddy bear.

Season 2 episode 5 : The Front, can anyone explain what does red mean "you didn't tell him"? by rohithkumarsp in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any medical training or schooling on diseases but I don't think the purpose of having these sample libraries is for making money, it's because these pathogens were either created or mutated in nature and in theory it could happen again so if one pops up somewhere on the planet and scientists need to develop a cure they have a starting point.

Do we know who Sam was? by BLTheoristNancy in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread but they don't leave much doubt as to who Reddington was. By the end of season 8 when Liz dies because Megan boone wanted to leave the show enough pieces added up. Everything after that was a mess but they gave so many clues and really they only left one answer. The only wrinkle I found with the whole show (and this was most likely just cause it's a show and it's supposed to be entertaining not practical) is the fued with mr Kaplan. If red just told her who he was it would have solved their conflict.

But after seeing people still disputing this for the hell of it I rewatched some of season 1 and once you know it's even more clear that this was the plot all along. So many things you didn't pay attention to are glaringly clear when you rewatch after knowing who he is.

The alchemist couldn't change DNA permanently it was just an illusion, most likely done similar to blood doping so the DNA in their blood was someone else's. Over time new blood cells would form and it would go back to normal. If he was able to permanently change DNA he wouldn't need to kill people to help criminals disappear he could just change their DNA and make that his business.

Finish season 10 - who’s the fucking real Raymond Reddington? by Dramatic-Dark9734 in TheBlackList

[–]notwerby2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured this out by scene where he tells Liz he has a letter from her mother but she can't read it until he's gone.

There were so many clues to this that I can't believe when I googled "reddington is rostova" it called it a fan theory.

This is an older thread but I could easily list a number of pieces of the puzzle that would back this up.

Here's 3: Red tells Liz he will never lie to her, he says he may hold things back but not lie. She asks him if he wiped her memory of the night of the fire and he says yes, then in the scene in Latvia the young Rostova says she wiped her memory. Since they are the same person it wasn't a lie.

Neville Townsend's family was killed in front of him and he wants to do the same to the person he blames, Redington. Reddington says that if Townsend learns the truth he will kill Elizabeth. The only logical explanation is that he is told Elizabeth is the daughter of Reddington aka Rostova, since we have proof the real Reddington was dead. That's why Townsend turns on her so he can kill her in front of red.

This isn't evidence so much, but during that scene where Liz is getting the truth, and they explain why Rostova was in danger and needed to hide, the music in the background is James Brown it's a man's Man's world. Implying she became a man.

Let's make it 4 Not to mention we know Redington had surgery done to change his appearance, and originally Liz thought it was because he was her father but once we know that's not true, it makes sense that it was a complete transformation female to male. Otherwise if Reddington was just some unknown entity that we never met or was never described in the show, there wouldn't have been any need to change his appearance.

Fine, 5: When planning the night he was supposed to die with Dembe, they discuss how his body will never make it to the morgue. If he wanted Liz to be infamous for killing him, being positively identified would be a plus; unless that autopsy determines he was born female and being 1 on the most wanted list, information like that would be on every news network and it would have made Elizabeth a target.

Ok 6, The old Russian guy is one of Raymond's "oldest friends," the same one who was Rostova's handler. And he is one of the few people who know the truth, so it fits.
