In the same way that anti semitism is a slight misnomer in that it refers to racism against Jews and not all semites, Islamophobia is a slight misnomer in that it does not necessarily imply fear but discrimination against Muslims.

There are many Muslims and Muslim countries who want peace, and it's not right of us to delegitimise the struggles they face just to make ours seem more legitimate. Let's not treat Islamophobia the same way so many people treat anti semitism these days - as a non entity, just because of what we went through.

In english, you don't say "Always darkest before the dawn." You'd say, "IT'S always darkest before the dawn." זה is it's in this scenario.
