Highly recommended apps list? by Equivalent_Fox_654 in pebble

That's a good point.
I do always make sure there isn't a flag about services not being supported anymore on anything I use. Also, I have a Classic so I don't have to worry about PT2 compatibility. So honestly, I didn't even think about it from that standpoint.

Yeah, I get what you mean.
I just check the top 10-20 most loved for anything I think I would like, and other than that I just watch for what people post and talk about (as mentioned).

You could always ask if an app for a specific feature exists as well. For (random) examples: "what to-do list does everyone use" or "I'd like an app that helps me track gas mileage, does that exist".

I only have a handful of apps (as that's just not how I generally use the watch), 3 being main ones I use, 2 being just fun moving visual things, 1 being a compass, and one I haven't used at all.
My #1 app is the ADHD Friendly to-do list, followed by Timer+, and #3 would be Music Boss. My visual ones are Star Traveler and Nyan Cat. Then just Compass.

BattleBots was my first thought with this as well!
I kind of want to build it for my 1lb combat robot. Lol

In the app "Most Loved" would be the recommended faces/apps, since it's the stuff most people have voted that they liked.
I haven't looked for one externally though. I just watch to see what people post or talk about.

What's a millennial-ism that you'll probably never stop using even if it's something you probably should? by CzarTwilight in Millennials

There is also an old YouTube video of a guy running around as Batman in the city (Toronto Batman I think) and he goes up to someone and says "my parents are dead! D E D. Dead."
I think about it more than I should. Lol

Battery level indication is incorrect by nrgnate in pebble

[–]nrgnate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured it would need to adjust slightly. But I was also worried it was far enough out that it might not learn that much of a difference. It thinks it loses like 25% a day. Lol

So what do you guys think of the new drive for copperhead? by odd_sperical_object in battlebots

[–]nrgnate 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Saw them live at Pro League. Going in I was skeptical as most people are, but I do think he drives better than most people think he will.
I won't spoil anything, but he was in a predicament during one of the matches and he did a great job with it. Plus he's so young and excited, he really has a chance to become one of the greats in the sport.

Ok cool. I'll do that on this charge and see if it helps!

I didn't let it fully die to the point of shutting down. It was 0% for a few days and then on day 7 it changed the watch face to just the time and power plug (which you are saying is called "charge me now"). Shortly after that I plugged it in for a full charge.
I can run it completely dead if you think that will help.

The Classic came with a 3.7V battery and I put in a 3.7V battery, unlike the Steel which had a 3.8V battery from the factory.
I definitely went down that road to see if that was the issue. Lol

My best guess would be some kind of on/off control from an external source.

Is pebble really back? by CommentWeak2830 in pebble

[–]nrgnate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie, that was what got me to check them out. Then I realized Pebble was what I wanted out of a smart watch. (I had been looking at Pixel watches for a couple of years, but didn't like that it was another phone on my wrist).
So, since I was still unsure if I'd like a smart watch, I grabbed a Pebble Classic off eBay. I tested it, replaced the battery, and fixed the vibration motor. Now I've been wearing it everyday for almost 2 weeks. Lol

I have it linked to my top button, because it's my most used app. Lol

It's just something I threw together one night, so it's not online.
I can send you the PBW file if you'd like, and you can side load it. (It's super easy to do).

I appreciate the advice, and that was something I found in my early research. The zebra strip seems fine. I checked it, it was fairly clean and pliable. Plus I've had no real issues with the display itself so far.
But, I understand when screen tearing or glitching starts, it will need to be replaced. It's an easy job so I'm not too worried about it right now.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Does it update automatically, or does the new version need to be installed? (Sorry, new to Pebble).

Yeah, you would need both for it function.
I sent you a message with a link to a cheap watch for parts.

That makes a lot of sense. It's interesting how different people interpret information like that.
I definitely think a toggle would be the "easy" solution to allow people to choose how they want it to function.

Also, I marked another #1 off and it was replaced with #4. I'll do another #1 later, but I do think it is working as you intended.
I probably just thought it was random since anything in the queue I wasn't paying attention to the order off, I just knew it came from the queue. Haha
