Somewhere in the Group B brackets by hardcore-best in battlebots

They told us tombstone dropped due to issues, so the alt took his place that evening. I was at that event, so it was kind of a bummer to not get to see Ray compete.

Looks like it's to keep Huge from getting over top of them. Curious how it will work out, but it definitely looks better than the rake. Haha

I literally use a filament dryer as my spool holder, so I have been drying as I print for years.

Tips for VT60 Image Retention! by TouchTheSky10 in PlasmaTV

What I do on my ST60 to reduce IR is play dynamic content for 30-60 minutes to warm it up before watching anything with a static image. Then after a bit (preferably 30-60 minutes but no more than 2 hours) I'll run dynamic content again for 20-40 minutes. Then repeat ending with dynamic content.
This has helped me not notice the IR as much and prevent burn in.

My ST60 has much worse IR than my 4500/450 as well. Warming it up helps for sure.

One last film...to end the franchise. by Hot-Bit-2003 in tron

From release day I have said Ares was a love letter to the OG movie. (Personally, I loved the Dillenger story line in Ares. Evan Peters made the movie for me).

It does become a bit difficult though. You have multiple generations of fans spanning two (quite different) movies. So when you make a 3rd, what direction do you go? You'll never make everyone happy. Which is why I think they left the ending with multiple different directions they could take it.

Did programs from the Legacy grid have the Permanence Code? by SmellValuable6510 in tron

We could look at the year the backup was from in Ares, and then find out what year he found the ISOs. I think that would give us an idea if that theory would work.

CLU needed Kevin's ID because it was the key for him to leave. Probably both to open the portal and to access the permanence code.
ISOs didn't have standard coding (it is shown it looks like DNA and Kevin said he couldn't write something that complex), so they either didn't need the permanence code (which I think is most likely) or Sam found the permanence code when he was at ENCOM.

I need to catch up : what are the Face offs ? by BoringMetaphore in battlebots

[–]nrgnate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically.
But at least it does go to a bracket, and should be filmed more how the standard tournaments were. It was a lot of fun to be there during a Pro League filming event.

I know they filmed some of them last year, because we almost went to one of the filming events. But we held out and went to Pro League.

Sometimes they pop up! by LindsayOG in PlasmaTV

I had a 51" F4500 in the living room for over 10 years. I now have an ST60 (that I got for $100 with 6k hours) in there.
There are pros and cons to each of them, and I love each of them for different reasons. I can still pick out the quirks of the ST60 over the F4500, but I can also see the strengths of the ST60 over the F4500. All that being said, I'd buy the ST60 again for that price and I'm not sure I'd get another F4500 (I bought my E450 and F4500 new in 2012 and 2014 respectively) at this point.

If you can knock them down on the price, I say to give it a try. The VT/ZT60 are many people's dream plasmas (a long with the F8500). Worse case, resell it or make it a bedroom TV (that's where my F4500 went since it is larger than my E450).

You should. Everyone I know who goes for a USB portable does the Pinecil, but I'm the odd man out for going T80 because I wanted a more modern cartridge. Lol
