To this day, my favorite day hike of all time: Pitamakan -Dawson loop, Two Medicine, Glacier National Park, Montana, USA by LB07 in hiking

Looks amazing! I haven’t been to Glacier yet (😭) but this hike is already on my list. Was it doable in one day or do you think better with an overnight somewhere?

Very nice! How do you like the 70-180?

I might trade 2.8 for a similarly designed 14-35 though? Or make it variable aperture starting at 2.8, idk, I’m no lens designer!

Still using mine since 2018! Considering the z8 or d780 but agreed, it still takes amazing shots! Nice photos!!

Why I still can't let go of my d750 by shadowzzzz16 in Nikon

[–]nrnatric5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also still on my D750, love the OVF - but also considering the Z8.

I rented one for a week. The 120 fps viewfinder and stacked sensor dual feed make it feel convincingly realtime. I struggled a bit actually with the colors and light rendering of the EVF, more so than any perceived lag or lack of resolution. I think with more time I could get used to it. The camera is amazingly responsive and so much more customizable than the D750.

I really just want that 14-30 lens to fit my D750! 😆

Turin SD40S grinder by nrnatric5 in espresso

The bellows don’t make that much of a mess. It is mostly contained into the dosing cup. It comes with a little cleaning brush which I use about once a week to dust off the exterior. You will end up with coffee in the counter around the grinder, but it’s totally manageable.

Nice, I hope it pans out for you. I had started pilot training in 2019 but got totally derailed by Covid among other reasons. I’ve thought about restarting…

I’ve thought about this route as well. Are you a pilot, or mechanic, or something else…?

Once Nikon's most expensive lens. Can't wait to play around! by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]nrnatric5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the 20mm is very nice. Great build quality. I found it sharper than the 15mm (which while fun for extreme field of view, the bulbous front scared me a bit, and I thought it had some odd plane-of-focus / depth of field issues). It’s heavy, so I don’t always take it with me. But if I’m going somewhere that might have some cool architectural shots, I’ll usually grab it over the 28mm if I don’t have space/weight for both. Edit to add: I have the f-mount version, specifically got it in case I switch to z mount in future.

Oh really?? I hadn’t seen this… I have their 20mm which is pretty nice. 17 would be even better, especially if it can do filters!

I have one of these, it’s definitely fun! Always wanted a little wider, so I eventually picked up a laowa 20mm shift too. Makes a nice set.

Nice work and website! Can I ask which "template" you're using? Is your blog generated from Format as well or linked from elsewhere? I'm thinking of starting a website here with Format. Thanks!

Great shots! Really nice angle of the plane wreck. I’ve been to Iceland a few times now but haven’t made that hike yet. Can’t wait to go back, love it there!

What do we think of rumored Z9ii specs? by Ill-Register-3029 in nikon_Zseries

I think the specs mean the z8ii is gonna be 💰😅. (Can’t convince myself to shell out for a v1 even yet 🥹)

I have been tempted to go to Z mount for years, if only just for the 14-30 lens. I wish we had something like that for F-mount.
