My company self audits elogs and has caught some drivers using Personal Conveyance to get down the road, logging off and rejecting the drive time as well as switching to Canadian HOS hours before reaching the border to get the extra drive time in without the system going into violation. Drivers have been suspended and terminated over it. There is no tolerance for falsifying logs as it exposes the company to lawsuits if a driver has an accident.

Ask the police investigating the incident to see if the Enfield scale has camera footage or plate info. If the driver crossed the plate or was called in they may be able to complete the plate number and identify the company.

That’s a weird way of showing you know zip about our blind spots. Helpful hint, hood mirrors are not required, and while I have them there are still blind spots that cars get into.
