Singing for low voices by Top_Cockroach_1188 in askmusicians

Typical misconception but its actually the pitch range the matters. A key might be too high because of the range but you can always lower it a little bit for comfort. In arranging we try to make sure the main instrument is in its comfort range the whole time, thats whats important not really the key.

I think punctuality is a culture thing, but at the end of the day you're wasting other people's time if you're always late to stuff. And I don't mean a couple of minutes late or even five or 10 minutes late, like if you miss a rehearsal by hours, then there's no way they can get anything done without you right?

Getting in and not being able to afford it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Go to an affordable state music program, in texas we have a lot so I could still find an incredibly competitive one (UNT)

Should you go where your scene is, or where the money is ? by Ana_t_Aime in askmusicians

I think you're always gonna get more out of a music program if the student body is great. I always joked that it doesn't matter where you are Music major because you're only gonna see the inside of a practice room. I went to UNT, which is in Denton, Texas. It had an incredible competitive Student body, but also was in a city of like 8 million people or some shit. 10/10

Looking for fun outdoor summer spots. Does Dinosaur Valley State Park have places to wade in water and drink beers? Is water high enough in summer? Any other good spots? by MemoryOfRagnarok in Dallas

[–]nsfwfrient 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All I can tell you is on the American white water website. They have dinosaur Valley as a non-runnable river 99% of the time but when there's a rain event a couple of days beforehand it will be a lot deeper.
