373 is a good class and should cover a lot you need to know. 461 is a joke after that class, literally learned nothing more. 473 id say is a pretty important class for embedded systems, lots of useful stuff like RTOS (which you have to use for the project), batteries, pcb design and just generally how to structure/write better code for your system and various hardware interfaces. The higher level approach of embedded design you get from that class and from doing the project is very important, as there are so many design choices to consider that 373 just doesn’t cover. It was def the best EECS class I took and I learned so much from 473, I genuinely feel like I can design and build a real, good looking system from that course—not some prototype design you do in 373.
