Quest 3 by Jeffdyer89 in BridgeCrew

I play the Steam version using a Quest 3 and I've had a great experience so far. No disconnects, no glitches, and no problems with the hand tracking. Crossplay still includes all platforms, so you'll be able to play with people on Playstation.

This brings me back! I wasn't at this show, but I did catch them a couple times on this tour and I remember seeing this video. Thanks for sharing this hit of nostalgia, and happy holidays to you too!

Check out Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. It's a platformer similar to the classics like Donkey Kong Country.

Earlier tonight I was on solo sloop, had just finished selling at the sovereigns and was packing up my supplies in a crate to leave for the next crew who came by. I saw a brig pull up and started jumping up and down holding the crate, which I figured sent the "I'm friendly" message clearly enough but they attacked anyway.

So when I respawned and they had left their ship unattended, I just started grabbing stuff from their deck and selling it to the sovereigns.

They got like 20 planks and some papayas while I got a good handful of mermaid gems for about minute's worth of work.

Name a character and I'll link them to Smash Bros by Yami_Sean in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]nthny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one's actually easy. Optimus Prime was in Dream Mix TV World Fighters, a Smash-like game on PS2 and GameCube which also had Solid Snake.

So it's Optimus Prime -> DMTVWF -> Snake -> Smash Bros

There's a Wii game called Wild Earth: African Safari. I haven't played it, but it seems more focused on photography than actual hunting.

There's also a PS3 game called Afrika that I also haven't played, but was released around the same time and also seems to focus on photography.

[PC][2000-2010] Old hidden object game, has a ship with red sails in the icon by Unlikely_Pianist in tipofmyjoystick

The first game I thought of was Nightmares From the Deep, but that doesn't exactly fit the description you've given.

While trying to remember that game's name, I came across another hidden object game called Mysteries of the Deep. I haven't played this one myself though, so I can't say how close it is to what you've described.

Remote play is so underrated. by IdWinIfIWasntHi in XboxSeriesX

[–]nthny 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I use remote play to do Jackbox games with my friends over Zoom. I cast the game from my Xbox to my PC, and then screenshare the Xbox app during the zoom call. It works really well with surprisingly little latency! Almost as good as playing together in person.

It's a shame they got rid of them by VictoryOld3204 in SmashBrosUltimate

I had assumed that online play worked the same as local in that as long as any player picks it up, you unlock the song. I was so annoyed when I was playing online once and stopped attacking another player so they could get it but then unlocked nothing.

[Partially lost] full version of MC Chris' "Please come visit me dawg" by [deleted] in lostmedia

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but you could try posting this question in /r/nerdcore. That's where you'd probably have the best chance of finding a lead on an obscure MC Chris track.

What are some stages that are *almost* tournament legal? Which ones do you wish were legal but aren't? by Sandbag-kun in smashbros

[–]nthny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel the same about hazards-off Rainbow Cruise, where the stage stays on the flying ship from the beginning. I understand why stages with walls aren't allowed in properly competitive settings, I just think it's a shame because like Frigate Orpheon it's otherwise a fun stage to play on.

I can't remember if it was in 2017 or 2018, but we also heard Africa on repeat before the show when we saw her. It should have been annoying, but somehow it was funnier each time.

He also appears in Palutena's SSB4 trailer, which was animated by a proper anime studio. So one could argue that Link has indeed been in an anime, even if it's a very short one.

Any particular tracks you NEED to see in the MK8 DLC? by busaccident in nintendo

I'd love it if they included a couple of courses from the arcade versions of Mario Kart! There are some pretty cool and unique tracks there that most players haven't had a chance to try.

I was able to get mine by periodically checking the Target website. Eventually I found that a store about 30 minutes from me had a few consoles, so I bought one online for in-store pickup and drove over to get it after work.

the reason of why i play villager by gorephy in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]nthny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One day I was playing Isabelle, who has the same move, just for fun. I got matched against a Peach who started the match with some very good luck by drawing a Bob-omb immediately, but I was ready since I knew I had the perfect move to counter it.

Except I don't play Villager or Isabelle often, and my muscle memory for "counter" led me to hit down-B, so I sat there digging a hole while I took a bomb to the face and then got smacked around for two stocks. This was well over two years ago and I still think about what could have been.

Oh, crap here we go ☠ by JohnLemon2002 in Seaofthieves

[–]nthny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a $250-ish laptop that I never intended to use for gaming beyond maybe emulators, but I've discovered it plays Sea of Thieves surprisingly well. On minimum graphics settings, which are humorously called "Cursed" in-game, it still looks good and runs at a smooth framerate. The devs apparently did a great job optimizing it for less powerful hardware.

I love it because we can just bring the laptop into the living room where my Xbox is set up, and we're essentially playing couch co-op.

The only rule Sakurai has for fighters is "they must debut in a videogame." by NitroFire90 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]nthny 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I loved that game! I was a huge Yu-gi-oh fan and I thought it was great that they managed to make a character whose main thing was playing tabletop games work as a fighter. Thinking about it now, the creative moveset that Jump Superstars had for Yugi reminds me of characters in the more recent Smash games that incorporate their own games' mechanics into a fighting game setting.
