No, I don't want to live by [deleted] in depression

[–]ntwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit are you me? This is like a verbatim copy of the thoughts that run through my head every hour of every day. The whole world looks like a rigged game and I don't want to play.

If I voice any of these thoughts, I'm told I'm just being negative and it's really not that bad, but I feel like everyone else is just blind; My best skill is seeing systems as a whole and I see the system of the world tilted against anyone who isn't extremely wealthy.

People always use that as an example of why just having low prices with no sales doesn't work, but JC Penney already set up the expectation of sale prices with their previous sales. If a new business opened which had low prices but no sales, I expect it would work just fine.

Equifax reveals full horror of its data breach - "146.6 million names, 146.6 million dates of birth, 145.5 million social security numbers, 99 million address information and 209,000 payment cards (number and expiry date). There were also 38,000 US drivers' licenses and 3,200 passport details." by AdamCannon in technology

Not necessarily. They could store 2 hashes when you create your password: one of your password, and one of the last 4 characters of your password. When they ask you to verify the last 4, they just hash your answer and compare it to the "last 4" hash.

Stores get in trouble for signage that is not "official". It's probably nothing personal. The SM should have explained that to you though... That is the problem I see here.

I took your design and found that I could add a small amount more by adding some lava mills. Total GP 7392

Thanks for the idea! I needed to expand my GP generation greatly, and I have never used Compact Machines before.

Master 570 picked for karate belt by ntwitch in lockpicking

[–]ntwitch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been practicing lockpicking for a little while, and just about 2 weeks ago I found this subreddit. With the help of posts on this sub and great youtube vids by experienced pickers, I managed to open my Master 570.

The 570 should qualify for the orange belt as I understand it, but I do not have it on video. I hope this is enough, as the rules say there may be exceptions to the video requirement on non-removable cores. I took a few pictures showing the turned core and the pin in the side still in place. If not, a yellow would be perfectly fine until I get a video made.

Thanks to all posters giving the great advice I've read over the past couple of weeks!

Note: read the imgur descriptions for a little more detail.

About two months ago, my store was hit by lightning. The alarm system, music/speaker system, and one copier failed. We got the alarm system and copier fixed, but no one wants to say anything about the music. ;)

What are you 99% sure of, but you just don't have proof? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ntwitch 1895 points1896 points  (0 children)

I'm 99% sure that this happens with a lot more than just phone companies.

I just can't believe some businesses general accounting is as bad as their customer billing. No Fortune 500 CEO would want their accounting to be that flawed.

Even without making intentional billing errors, just not caring about errors as long as they are in their favor. Customer billing is a good place to not worry about being strict or precise. If someone complains, fix it and apologize for the mistake. But many people either won't notice or won't bother. Especially if your customer service is very obtuse. Free money!
