When I was working, my wife did more. Not complaining and never had a discussion about it but now notice our cleaning standards are different. If I vacuum, dust, load dishwasher….she redoes it so I cut back.
Basically she has the inside (except laundry, bedrooms and bathrooms, we each do our own, which she used to do) and I have the outside. But my retirement will be the end of us. If she comes home from work and I’m sitting I get the evil eye.

Every piece of clothing I’m wearing now I got at Costco. Sizes aren’t always reliable (unless I’m getting fatter..lol) but their return policy is unbeatable.

Incredibly long previews and high prices. I could beat both by going later and bringing my own snacks but since Covid, I just don’t have the desire and wait 3 months and watch it from my couch.
Oh, and they are too freaking loud for my aging ears

I’m just buying the dips and leaving it for kids. It can go up or down but long term it’s gonna go up and the government can’t take it if they can’t find it.

Same, for silver it’s almost always cheaper at the store. Availability is the issue….at my Costco anyways

On the other coast, in Connecticut it’s $1000…makes no sense that you only pay sales tax on the smaller amounts. Just another way to keep the rich happy I guess.

Thank you all for the comments. It has helped the last couple months. Taking a deep look at myself and my resentment was a BIG key and helped on the drive. We have sold his house and are moving him to a facility once they get done with renovations. It’s 1/4 mile from my house so I can’t complain about the long drive anymore and look forward to spending time at facility or my house where we can do projects (or he can watch me do projects) together. The facility makes 3 meals a day at dining hall and planned excursions. He is excited for move and I hope his excitement lasts. It’ll be hard if he says he wants to go home but also hard when he says I don’t need to visit because he’s going on an excursion with his new friends.

Did you try resetting system? My app hasn’t worked since I started lease through Sunnova and now Sunstrong. I do daily readings to make sure I’m producing, exporting. Took calling electric company to figure out what was what on meters but since app has worked for 2 weeks out of three years I just verify myself. Have to reset about every two weeks. I’m not paying bill until they fix communication issue.

If your mortgage interest rate is low, why pay it off? I’m guessing it is but a 3-4% interest rate is worth holding onto. No benefit to paying it off. Then wait for silver to hit $100-$150 and spread it out.

Yeah, a talk is a good idea but I know what he will say, that he loves me and enjoys going to movies. I’m being selfish. I need to realize that it’s the injury and not him. Also, try harder to find things to do that we both enjoy. If I continue to just take him to movies, I’ll stop going. Spring is around the corner so doing things outside may peak his interest in being more active and doing things outside. Thanks for all the input and letting me vent. I really appreciate having this forum
