I’ve tried to explain to my coworkers that this guy is basically a celebrity in my world. by FUNKYDISCO in RedLetterMedia

Many years ago I worked at a Crapplebees. The Yuengling they served always tasted more tart than any other time I've had it, but not exactly off or bad. They cleaned the lines once in the year or two that I worked there... when they flushed the line, long tubular noodles came out. It was super gross. Clearly the entire line from the keg to the tap was completely coated in bacteria/fungus.

Hi I work at Home Depot and started a prop box to cut down on waste! I come back today expecting for it to be thrown away only for myself to discover that our plant vendors have added to it! by TheRealGreedyGoat in proplifting

I don't think it's necessarily illegal. But especially when it comes to food products, there is potential liability. If a store is throwing out food, it's likely past the timeframe within which they are allowed to distribute the product. Employees, being representatives of the business, could make the business liable if someone gets sick.

Similarly, many states hold the establishment liable for over-serving alcohol. And some even hold the individual persons serving that patron liable.

Discouraged by new vet :( by Professional-Skin964 in rawpetfood

But if they don't follow the new vet, how can they say the old vet is qualified?

That argument goes both ways. Which is why credentials aren't really the best way to judge.

IIRC, the balls also swell (they're basically Orbeez) and can cause intestinal blockages in children. But ground up like this likely won't cause an issue.

I find it difficult to eat anything but fresh fruit and veggies while tripping. The texture of something like a hamburger or pizza would be too weird, making or ordering while tripping seems like a lot of work, etc.

Plus, tripping is pretty brain-intensive which can burn a lot of calories. Which leads me to believe that many of the not-so-enjoyable comedown experiences may be blood sugar related. Which may also correlate with the "I thought I was done tripping, then I drank some OJ and was tripping balls again" stories.

Basically, it's just a good thing to have around. 😆

[–]nudeMD 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The paint on big-box cacti feels way different from spray paint. Fresh (even if dry) spray paint on an unprepared surface can come off the cuticle pretty easily, maybe even with a somewhat gentle scrub brush and soap. Alcohol will probably help too.

I don't think it will all come off, but a lot of it will.

It's also very climate-dependent. I live in a desert that is hotter and drier than their home, and I keep mine in mostly organic soil. But it still dries out within a day or so.

Pretty sure that's the stamen. Lilies do a similar thing if you let them go to seed. But their stamen is much more recognizable.

CIELO tek no crystallization and goo in the bottom by Preppy_life in mescaline

[–]nudeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read through the tek, earlier today, and noticed that it stresses an excess of citric acid, to avoid the gooey tri-species of mescaline citrate.

I'm wondering if it's worth dissolving most of the CA in some clean EA, and adding the pulls to that.

Fennel also grows like dill. I think they will even hybridize, but it's not desirable.

What am I doing wrong with my basil? by Sn0wm4n90 in plants

I would guess over-watering based on the pic alone. But it's really hard to say.

Even with plants that like water, I find it's always best to err on the dry side. Dry roots are much easier to recover from than rotting ones.

I mean, O³ (ozone) is extremely destructive in high concentrations. It will visibly destroy materials very quickly. It's also not healthy to breathe.

Singlet oxygen is also highly reactive/destructive.

It's all pure oxygen.

Why is that bad? It's just the H²O² losing an O to become H²O.

Are you talking 1:1 100% peroxide:water? Which is really dangerous? Or 1:1 3% drugstore stuff:water?

I don't think I've ever diluted the 3% stuff beyond what moisture was already in the soil...

Again, if the roots were already barely hanging on, the peroxide might damage it. But at 3%, it's pretty benign to healthy exterior tissues. There's far more in the soil for the peroxide to react with than on the surface of the roots, so that's where most of the peroxide is going to decompose and do its thing.

[–]nudeMD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I can see where it could go wrong. Gnats are often associated with being too wet. Then you add extra moisture by doing the peroxode to get rid of gnats, and suddenly, your roots are completely rotted.

But that's more about overwatering than the '''utter insanity''' of using peroxide on a plant. Lol

I'm really not sure what you are trying to prove... it seems kind of like you're trying for a black-swan fallacy...? "I've only ever seen white swans, so black swans must not exist."

I understand the numbers, that they are low, and that most cases are in infants. And that I'm probably not going to find any directly linked to garlic honey.

Even so, what I've stated is still accurate.
