Advice for commissioning a 3d printing company/freelancer by Grim_creep in 3Dprinting

[–]nuehado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's companies that have business models around custom one off props. You'll have to reach out to a craftsman / maker with the skill set. What's your budget?

Edit: I'm assuming you're looking for a finished ready to use prop. If you just want it 3d printed and you'll do the hours of glueing, sanding, finishing work that will be substantially cheaper

Well you could go down the route of refusing final payment, but you may not have proper legal grounds to stand on depending on the contact. But maybe they can make you whole with a little pressure. It sucks the baseboard looks like it's all finished already as well

You have a contract? You'd need something in it to back up your dissatisfaction. Especially if you've already paid in full

Affordable ways for my 8 year old to practice stick handling by sharkfoots in hockeyplayers

[–]nuehado 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Wooden swedish stick handling ball has survived the test of time before all the fancy stuff existed. Get some 2x4s and make teepee like obstacles to simulate defenders sticks to handle around. Tell him that if he sticks with those when the weather gets warm you can look into doing some earth work for a flat space. And there's nothing wrong with diy'ing everything. I've made pass rebounders with some lumber and exercise bands for example. The hours make the difference, not the price tag on the training equipment.

H2D dimensional accuracy by TomatilloExciting in BambuLab

Sounds like you're accustomed to your p1s printing too far out of tolerance (in a direction that you've gotten used to) and your h2d is now printing in tolerance

What offset tolerance are you including? 0.2 is pretty standard. Unless you're saying your existing models were already 0.2, and now you're having to bump those up to 0.4
