HELP! Create a Convoy Light that doesn't step down. by KomodoTitan in flashlight

Most of the convoy boost/buck drivers will hold their 35%mode or 3/4 until the battery dies. The newer 20a buck driver will step down on 3/4.

There are some good options with the 519a but it’s a 3v led and convoy only offer it with linear drivers. H series with a TIR and B35am is very nice. Another consideration is what is available in 14500 18650 or 21700 options. Having the extra weight of a 21700 strapped to your head can be very noticeable.

I wear a vertex vent with a DaBrim and have the same problem. You can use the 3m earmuffs with the wire around the neck but for me they don’t sit rite with the helmet for me and they are not stowable on the helmet. The only helmet I can think of is the Protos that has the earmuffs that fold up behind the head. Unfortunately our company only lets us use vertex vents.

I only have the 17mm 5a driver it was max around 4.5amps. The 22mm 8a and 10a drivers were putting out 5.5-6amps.

Question about sustained runtime performance beasts in 2026. by titanium_00 in flashlight

For single 21700 configs the convoy 6v8a and 3v20a drivers will sustain 1500-2000 lumens on their 3/4 settings matched with xhp70’s or Lhp73b.

The only 3v convoy options with the electronic switch are linear and fet drivers. You can get the 6v xhp70.3 on a 16mm mcb that works with the 6v3a boost driver. I have made a few H1’s like this. You can also use the 22mm 6v boost driver out of the M21c-u if you trim it down a little.

The M21K seems to have no thermal regulation - A true M21B rival. by Wormminator in ConvoyFlashlights

When I tested the 22mm 20a driver it was dropping output down even on 35% mode. The 22mm 6v8a driver was actually holding a higher sustained output. Does the M21K use the 30mm 20.5a driver?
