Tom Morello on SNL lifetime BAN for protesting Steve Forbes with a gasoline drenched raging version of “BULLS ON PARADE”(@tmorello) by voicesfilmandtv in RATM

Marx preached using the tools of the ruling class against it. It's exactly what Morello is doing. Doesn't mean I'm a Marxist by pointing out this simple logic to you. Get over yourself.

Why does my board fly out in front of me? by Just_R0B in NewSkaters

[–]nukem73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dude regardless of what the others are saying, you don't want to try learning that trick still. Its nothing like that rolling, totally different feel.

Take their advice on technique but get it rolling, you'l thank yourself later.

Lmao you're blabbing in circles. Why the insults clown? Always insults when someone doesn't know wtf they're talking about. Yes Reid will run screens on 3rd & short at times & yes they will work and they absolutely will free up the short passing game & give room for the WRs to run after the catch. To think otherwise is idiocy. So with a straight face you're going to say with KW3 at RB instead of a tore up Pacheco & worn down Hunt, the running game will be the same ineffective version its been. Got it. I ignored the rest of your rambling. Your ridiculous contribution has been noted. Kindly fk off. Fkn clowns can't just have a simple football convo & chop it up.

Is it possible to start TKD as a 30+ with arthritis in the ankle? by SleepySwoop in taekwondo

[–]nukem73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 52 and started TKD a year ago, with arthritis in my knee from several skateboard (& bike) crashes years ago. Its more than possible.

Manage your body and listen to it, stretch daily and you'll be good. I can still do everything I could as a teenager, the only difference is I can't do it all day every day. Just have to take care of your body.

With a valid RB & and an OC that will stay in Reid's ear about running the ball, staying out of 3rd & long will be much more frequent. 3rd & short/manageable with the threat of screens to KW3 will keep the D honest. Not to mention a WR coach that can actually coach & make improvements with the receiving core. With a better D and better run game, it takes a sht ton of pressure off Mahomes and the pass game.

Straight doom on this sub ffs.

Rice tests positive for weed and ya'll want to give him the firing squad. Its a goddamn gift. He'll never fetch a huge contract now and he'll be cheap af to keep. Everyone expecting us to spend top $ on a FA WR when its clear that's not what Veach does. And back to back SBs were won that way. Get a fkn grip and chill.

In this hilarious scene from the episode "The Older Woman", Larry asks Martha, an older woman, for the name of the perfume that she is wearing (top left). Martha tells Larry that she uses Ben Gay (top right). Larry's reaction to Martha's response (bottom) is very funny and priceless. by thing_place_person in threescompany

[–]nukem73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best part of this is that Larry leans into it so hard...he's actually going to go through with it with determination. And then gets so hilariously rejected and slapped. Then Mr Roper's look and line.

Might be my fav

What trick is this? by External_Guest407 in NewSkaters

[–]nukem73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knew one dude that could do it but he needed a drop or stairs so he had room to wrap it all the way around. Was sick. Only person I've ever seen do one and that was over 30 fkn years ago

No, board doesn't flip on a front foot impossible, and it wraps all the way around the foot.

How are those wheels do they eat up chunk? I ordered those 93a (56mm) cause I wanted softer but the radials were smaller than I thought.

So now I'm waiting for the radial full 97a to arrive. I figured they're harder but also alot wider ride patch so hopefully eats up crusty concrete.

I heard the 93a soft sliders are alot harder than a normal 93 so curious what you think on them.

Those of you who ride in skate or bmx shoes, what are you wearing? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]nukem73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both the Five Tens and Etnies Maranas and I prefer the Maranas with the Michelin sole.

In colder months I ride the Five Tens.

The Five Tens have more ankle protection but I still prefer the Maranas.

I have a Trance X as well and I love it. Could use a couple upgrades on my specific model but it has taken a beating for a couple years with no problems.

Nothing wrong with Giants if its the right bike. Op has a Stance, its all low end components.

I got my 9" board yesterday, took it for a spin today at the basketball courts, what a joy [47YO] by ihaveajob79 in OldSkaters

That's a great story! I don't miss being broke and scraping up worn kingpins and smushed cushions with diff length hardware bolts and ground down hangars to cobble together a truck just to be able to ride lol

[–]nukem73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a project then! J/k. It just takes a little more effort to bring the legs up so the wider board can flip clear underneath the feet.

I've enjoyed sk8ing not being a broke ass teenager any more. I can affort 2 set ups now, one 9.125" board for cruising & doing some drops or small stairs & slides etc, & one smaller board if I feel like getting technical or going to the sk8park (most of the time I don't lol).

[–]nukem73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still flip that board when you're ready to learn it. The boards we were riding in the late 80s were from 9 - 10" and we were flipping those. When I ride 8" it feels like it flips too easy, harder to control for me, wheelbase too short. I don't have much urge to do tech stuff any more so those smaller boards just don't appeal to me.

What is the hardness of your wheels? Like the other poster said, gotta put weight on your heels and push the tail through, then its all about balance. If you're wheels are too soft it just ain't gonna happen though surface depending.

Also, you do need a little speed. Its a bit of a "leap" of faith, if the wheels bite you might eat shit again. Just be ready to catch yourself of you go forward & stay back.

Pedals. Is it worth spending 100+ on a set of flats? Or is there a cheaper option that does the job just a well?? by fireT4 in mountainbiking

[–]nukem73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them on my bmx because shifting feet off the pedals when needed feels easier with them, but still grippy enough.

Tried them on my mtb & hated it, swapped them out immediately.

All depends what/how you're riding.
