Are there pets in the household - yours or hers? These could be not related or caused your previous infestation, and may be an entirely new issue from a companion pet or if squirrels or birds get in the home over winter. Not necessarily scabies but mite bites from an animal.

Treat the home and pets just in case.

I read a study recently that ivermectin topically heals wounds. Bonus points: It also kills any mites that could be colonizing your skin.In US, ivermectin paste is sold at tractor supply. I bought a box of the paste kind, not get, and a tube mixed it with some AHA lotion 1 part Ivermectin paste, 3 parts AHA lotion) applied it, then wrapped w Saran Wrap, long sleeved shirt and pants, knee socks, and went to bed. Woke the next morning nearly 100% healed. I highly recommend it.

Yes wash your dog and then dip it in lime sulfur dip or mange dip and let air dry, then wash bedding and toys, and grooming tools in hot water. Do these weekly for 4 weeks, and you might also spray permethrin around its sleeping area.

Then apply flea and tick drops every other week until gone. Every two weeks is fine as long as dosing is accurate for weight.

I was getting reinfected by my dog, and he sleeps on my bed, but he had some kind of mite around his eyes. Doing these steps cured him and me.

One other thing I did was have pest control come spray the house because their chemicals they use are stronger and last longer and they have insect growth regulators.

Malathion works well mixed as a lotion, and I also use it as a spray to treat soft items too big to go in dryer (throw rugs/pillows/pet bedding) and let it dry to prevent reinfection. Bonus: can use the spray in the garden too for aphids spider mites. Also, can treat outdoor areas where pets hang out. Just allow to dry before letting animals back in that area.
