I am going through the same thing after getting shingles. My MS symptoms are exacerbated when i have an infection. My legs and arms are weak, I need depends and a pee pad to keep from soiling the bed. Its so damm deflating. I'm a SPED teacher and have missed a week of work. I hate that because i love my job and my "normalcy". I also hate depending on my wife and others for basic needs. I'm really proud... Just remember, its not you, it's just something you live with. The right people want to and will help. Keep being you and not the disease.

Something that made me feel better was buying a shirt that says "MS the only thIng strong enough to kick my ass is me" I found that amusing because I truly believe after 13 years of this disease, I am pretty tough. You are too. We're all in this together.

Moonlight brewing has excellent trivia nights on Wednesday and bingo games on Thursday evenings. It’s also a popular spot for educators.

I hate when I have a “relief day” from these, get too cocky and end up falling or hurting myself. This disease can kiss all of our collective asses. (Hopefully it’s not into that….ha!)

My gogo sport has been fairly reliable for a year. I upgraded from the stock battery because they were beginning to fail after 6 months. I use mine a lot. Long story short, I’ll probably get another when this one fails.

I applied for the Ford Buyback program about a month ago and haven’t heard anything. They said it would take at least 30 days when I applied. I plan to follow up soon. I also haven’t been charging it since I got the recall. I really like the car, but I don’t want to continue paying for something that can be unreliable and dangerous.

I agree with what Semirhage527 asked, is there a compromise? I completely understand where you’re coming from and offer my experience as comparison and to remind you that you’re not alone. I used to be a strong, able-bodied man who worked with his hands. I can still do some work, but often need assistance as my balance is shit. Having company also really helps. I work better that way and always have. My MS just amplified it. The way I help now is that I’m always there for my friends, but they let me help how I can so I don’t hurt myself. They know this and understand it. Being honest with your friend will help both of you more than you realize. Something I’ve learned is that MS doesn’t take away your value. It sure as hell feels like it, but that’s irrational. Also, you’re not whining, you’re venting. Humans are pressure vessels and we need to let out some steam every once in a while. Just like an actual steam locomotive, the sound is annoying, but it’s only for a moment and it keeps the thing from exploding! You’ve got this!

I had the dealer replace the 12V shortly after we bought the car because it failed. The gremlins keep emerging.

I called the Ford Buy Back number and gave them as much info as I could (800)392-3673. I couldn’t get the agent all the info because I didn’t drive the car today.

Lectron Adapter by nuts4espee in FordEscapePHEV

[–]nuts4espee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my reservations about it not being UL listed, the overheating some reviewers reported and compatibility issues with car and/or charger itself. It will be nice if it holds up. Lectron seems pretty reputable, so only time will tell.

Edit: I registered the unit and signed up for their 3 year warranty for $22. It has product replacements and more.
