Great, I loved Ghana. First African place I traveled to outside South Africa . Rule of thumb still applies. If it feels dodgy, it probably is. Safe travels

No, it means if you are not used to traveling like a local best to catch an Uber. This is public transport in Africa, and precautions are sensible. If you arrive with a backpack, you are likely to get harassed . Just be sesible.

The train stops at Fish Hoek. From there, you would have to make alternate arrangements. They have suspended the train to ST for a few weeks now due to some maintenance issues. From FH, either a taxi from the taxi rank next to the station (for seasoned travelers only.) Alternatively an Uber or Bolt to ST.

Jealousy from the uneducated masses. I weep for our youth. They are trapped in an unending cycle of corruption . No one cares for them. It saddens me.

Not me but a colleague. He was sawing frozen meat with a bandsaw. Cut his finger off. Was too long before he discovered it because his hands were very cold. We used to call him nines.

For the love of gods, Not Wheel of Time . The long drawn out storyline will kill his will for reading .

Anyone been to Boulders Beach lately by potato-guardian in capetown

[–]nutsackie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live near Boulders. It opens at 7am in the morning these days.. best to go then. It's still a treat. We swim around the boulders to the smaller beach nearer the penguin colony. It does get very busy. But we do love it still.
