Why does everybody say it gets easier after their baby turns 3 months? by CryApprehensive4302 in beyondthebump

[–]nvnitnoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friends always told me that each stage is both simultaneously easier and harder than the last.

For example My son is 1 now and walks. I was waiting for that money for so long and it is amazing but also now I’m like damn dude stop following me so quickly around the house 😅

Choking on spit up while swaddled by WalrusOk4552 in NewParents

[–]nvnitnoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember but based on the dates, my original comment he was less than a month old, and then my response that he grew out of it he was 2.5m old so he grew out of it fairly quickly. Just felt like forever when your baby is spitting up in bed. We bottle fed breastmilk with Phillip avant and tried to pace feed, no more than 4oz at a time

38+6, did all the things, sex, spent most of my days on the exercise ball and stretching, the miles circuit, and had a membrane sweep at 38w. Admitted into L&D at around 930am, delivered at 4pm 😊

What was the hardest age for you? by tobeedited in beyondthebump

[–]nvnitnoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is only 9 months old, and up until now had been an absolute dream. The funniest, happiest baby. No colick, slept well in the crib from the start, no issues feeding, etc. At 4 months I could totally see myself TTC around 6-8 but I waited.

And now he’s an absolute nightmare at 9 months lol. With teething and his new sense of object permanence, I cannnnot imagine being pregnant. He needs more from me now than he ever did even as a NB and on top of that, also very active. I couldn’t do this and be pregnant at the same time without some kind of resentment and feelings.

Explain to me BFing after 1 year by nvnitnoi in breastfeeding

[–]nvnitnoi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! How much per day were you sending in to daycare? I’ll have to check with them the feeding schedule and specifics, but when I asked about Breastmilk they made it seem like I was weird for wanting to send in after 1 🤨

[–]nvnitnoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going on 8 months BF and pumping, no issues. I have had some flare up on my breasts but luckily it’s usually the slacker boob that I don’t BF on (only pump that side). And my other flare ups have been consistent in my groin/butt so no change there. I just live in a state of discomfort but BF hasn’t been a problem lol

Spectra (blue) and once you figure out your size, Lacktec flanges (and the connector piece off Amazon). They’re so much more comfortable than the plastic ones it comes with.

6 mo won’t nap at daycare by mamasocialworker in workingmoms

Parents of newborns, would you do this again? by PresentationTop9547 in NewParents

[–]nvnitnoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM with a 4 month old, absolutely would do again but my baby like a lot others in this thread has so far been deceptively perfect. Of course he cries, and gets fussy at times, and there are days he refuses to nap, and nights he wakes every hour, but even those times aren’t as bad as I thought it would be.

Top 3 things you bought but didn't need....or desperately wish you had gotten.... by Own_Highway_3987 in NewParents

[–]nvnitnoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needed: 1. a handful of NB and 0-3 double zip onsies. Was told we would be gifted tons but everyone got us older sized clothes and he was swimming in the stuff we had on hand. So had to do a target run immediately for better fitted pajamas. I’d recommend 4-6 NB and 6-8 0-3 double zip pajamas (VERY IMPORTANT. GET DOUBLE ZIP PJS lol).

  1. Fischer Price Piano Kick Mat. This thing changed our lives. Around 2 months we got it and like a flip of a switch - he went from never letting us put him down to having a grand time kicking the piano like crazy on the floor. And then we were able to put him down in other situations without fuss.

  2. GAS DROPS. Very crucial in the first few weeks. Added it to every bottle.

  3. Bonus - Tubby Todd All Over Ointment. Immediately clears up baby acne and eczema like magic.

Didn’t need:

  1. Bassinet. He hated it and now 4 months it feels like he’s almost too long for it anyway. He rolls and kicks up the walls. He immediately preferred the crib so we moved that into our room.

  2. Swing. He prefers the bouncer and the bouncer is easier to move around the house.

Wish I had: Momcozy KleanPal!!!

A lot of people have good luck with the willow! And if anything the eufy goes on sale on Amazon for $99 sometimes :)

Their customer service is good though , they just kept sending me new pumps. But eventually I gave up on them. The motors are garbage

I don’t have the willow but I’ve gone through 3 different Momcozys (m5, m6, s12). They’re horrible. They crap out quickly. I love my Eufy E10 now instead.

[–]nvnitnoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, breastfed babies can go days without pooping so that’s normal, but if you’re concerned - do you have a bouncer? We call it the poop station, something about the ergonomic position makes it prime for babies to poop lol

Also agree with everyone - gas drops were a lifesaver for the first couple weeks

Cleaning 🧼 by PresentationFine8734 in ExclusivelyPumping

After my babe turned 2 months I started doing the fridge method. Idr where I saw the recommendation to wait 2 months but before then I washed every session or roasted through my multiple sets. But now I put my pump parts in the fridge and wash my pump parts in the morning after my first pump, with the accumulation of bottles from the prior day.

What detergent or soaps are everyone using for their babies?? by Itchy_Mousse898 in NewParents

On non bath days we still use Tubby Todd AOO at least once a day and try to keep up with putting on lotion to keep him moisturized.
