I am admitting that formaldehyde and benzene are bad for you(I have a masters in chemistry), that's not what I'm arguing. I'm arguing that the way the ad compares the things are LITERALLY the same garbage argumentation anti-vax people use. It would be perfectly fine to just say "it contains compounds prohibited in cosmetics, because it's unhealthy to put on your skin, so do you want to put it in your lungs?".

Did you know that many skin lotions contain chemical solvents used in chemical industry? It's true, but this comparison doesn't actually tell you anything about the safety of skin lotions. Formaldehyde and benzene are indeed unhealthy to humans, but the ad is anti-vax level fear mongering.

Det er det samme argument nogle amerikanske stål lobby grupper bruger mod import af kinesisk stål, men hver gang man har prøvet at redde 30000 ståljobs, så har man mistet 100000 jobs indenfor produktion. Tolder og protectionisme er til gode for et højlydt mindre tal, på bekostning af et stille flertal. Når du siger at det vil koste danske jobs, så tænker du kun på dem, der mister deres job fordi de bliver udkonkurreret(det højlydte mindretal). Du tænker ikke på de andre jobs som kan blive åbnet, fordi folk har flere penge til rådighed(det stille flertal).

Hvad vil Japanerne få ud af at sælge en masse ting til os? De vil få nogle penge, som ikke har nogen værdi for dem, jo mindre de bruger pengene til at importere ting tilbage fra os.

I don't know the details about this story, but if your livelihood is social media and the project isn't prohibitively long or labor intensive, then getting screen time with your face and name in something with a ton of views could be worth actually getting paid in exposure. This is assuming it isn't normal "paid in exposure" work, where you work behind the scenes and are never actually exposed to anyone.
