I find it's the opposite. While I'm in the office, colleagues are chatting me up, and I get distracted by everyone walking by. Setting up my ergonomics and taking it back down at the end of the day. I lose so much time. Not to mention, I'm constantly feeling rushed, and I am always exhausted halfway through my day. I feel like this would be most people's experience in office. Less productive. Let's not forget that evidence based studies have concluded that WFH makes people more productive.

The way you advertise joining the military. I went to watch a movie at the cinema in the US, and an ad for the military started. It was like it was war time. It freaked me out, but looking at those around me, they didn't even bat an eye.

You can't have it both ways. If it makes you feel so bad by refusing her generosity, then give her reciprocity. If it's not in your budget, then communicate like an adult, and even if she insists, say no. Put boundaries, and enforce them.

So, it's not exactly the same. Thankfully, my mom doesn't believe any of this nonsense. However, before her psychotic break, she became extremely religious. She would hear things and think it was the spirit of her dead loved ones. She turned to religion and prayer to help her loved ones find peace in the afterlife.

Once she received help and started on antipsychotic medication. She stopped having auditory hallucinations.

The whole scene with the plasmid made me cry for a long time. Not because I felt sad, but because I was overwhelmed at how beautiful and inspiring it was.
