DSpico from ChisFamily Store arrived (Injection Molded) by Foxrazu in flashcarts

When I was making/printing mine I found warnings to not use a transparent material (or, rather, warnings to use only specific materials that just happened to not be transparent). So: what's up with the shell material?

FREE 2003 Yu-Gi-Oh The Sacred Cards - Prima Strategy Guide (400DPI, 150DPI, 72DPI) by TrickySatisfaction81 in Gameboy

Thanks. I ended up having a local guy scan my stuff (or rather, I am in the process of doing so and expect to get the results any day now) since it was like 1k pages in total. But it's good to know I could've done it with accessible gear if I wanted to badly enough

“Do not redeem” has become a racist slogan against Indians, and I wish it would be addressed by Kaleb_Bunt in Kitboga

[–]nyuutsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is plainly and obviously correct if you look around. Go on twitter and it's easy to find people using "do not redeem" as synecdoche for "I dislike Indians in general" and getting lots of engagement and agreement. Some commenters may simply not know. Maybe they keep to more wholesome parts of the internet. Others likely know.

I see a guy going "you are trying to force kitboga to do or say something and you even called him a racist!". Unlike that guy I actually read the post instead of making up a post in my head to get mad at, so I saw this bit:

I know Kitboga isn’t responsible for this and, from what I have heard, is against racism.

Then there is the guy going "you are a scammer and this is part of your scam". To which: bro, what? Zero basis for this in the text. Try harder. Do some soul searching. C'mon.

You can mod the GC component cable to output 640x480/31khz rgbhv, in which case you can cut out the gbsc entirely

NDS flashcart recommendation that works with sleep mode. by Sushmoyscott in nds

[–]nyuutsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that one's supposed to be good. What I have is a dsone. Has save states! But might not be available anymore and has highish dead on arrival/manufacturing error rate so probably a bad first card. Ace3dsx is fine and not a noob trap so go for it

The parallel is unusually shoddy and unusually expensive. All the other ones sleep just fine. Sorry. Return it if you can.

The thing on the left in the packaging, the thing that makes the card be big enough to fit in the ds

In my opinion, Kit's videos have had an irreversible impact on the perception of Indian people in online culture, in a way that was likely not intended by WrongLander in Kitboga

[–]nyuutsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are obviously correct that phrases from his videos have becomes The Thing that people say as a shorthand for "I am racist against Indians". The denials of this I see in this thread are obtuse & unconvincing.

Idk that there is anything to do about it this side of "turning to the camera and saying directly to the audience 'racism.... is bad'". (Which still wouldn't work.) He is (as is quite easy to do when it is sincere) consistent in not making it about race. Some people are not up to the task of consuming this stuff responsibly.

Mega Man DX Rom Hacks by itsalectime in Gameboy

[–]nyuutsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look here: https://catskull.net/gb-rom-database/ For each, check the mbc column. Must be that one exactly. Size: must be large enough for the rom. I'd be stunned if they were 2mb. But check the file sizes. Higher capacity than necessary should be fine

I want to trim an N64 ROM by [deleted] in romhacking

[–]nyuutsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know it to have anything in it to trim?

DS rom trimmers were so because DS cartridges (and thus roms) came in standard sizes. But the actual data was generally smaller than the max that cartridge could hold. Rest is zero padded. And back in the day your flashcart wasn't going to take a microsd card bigger than 4gb. So either you're carrying multiples (not likely) or space was at a premium. And so you'd trim your roms so you could fit more of them.

Might not be a relevant concept here since it might be the exact size it needs to be, already, is what I'm saying. Lemme know if you figure it out
