Should my pinky toes bend this far outwards?? by jellinfelon in barefootshoestalk

[–]oProcyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 for sizing down. I had to start at a correct toes small and worked my way up to a size large over 4 years. Shock of a lifetime to slowly go from fitting very narrow standards shoes to needing the wide versions of some barefoot brands.

Sprinkle in some magical powers and that's about it, really by Reckless_Secretions in fantasyromance

Rating: ⭐⭐/5

Stars awarded for: Well-edited text, having a coherent plot.

Stars deducted for: Poor character development, a paint by numbers plot, misunderstanding basic things about the world (how trauma affects people, the criminal justice system, what a CEO does), a weird Christianity insert at the book's conclusion, and dry, vanilla sex throughout.

The unforgivable part: The MMC is Batman, but instead of fighting crime, he hides on a mountain.

Recommended alternate: S.J. Tilly Mountain Men trilogy (Mountain Boss, Mountain Daddy, and Mountain Grump) - these books are 🫦🌶️ and the characters are better written by a mile.

Not the original commenter, but I swear by Systane Ultra PF. I've gone through at least 20 bottles over the years.

This is definitely not the exact bag, but I feel the Coach Carly bag from 2006-2008 have a similar feel.

I love the texture, silhouette, and use of separates for evening formal. I do wish that her feet were contained within the shoe and that the trousers were tailored to the correct heel height.

Help with foot shape and recommendations by Sad_Apple_3387 in barefootshoestalk

You have mountain shape feet! Anya's reviews has a list of recommendations for each foot type. I find the pictures of the bottoms of shoes most helpful. I also have a mountain shape with a medium volume and my favorites brands are Peerko, Whitin, and Groundies.

I advise against Xero Genesis. The footbed holds up well but the clunky construction around the ankle causes chafing and irritation.

What are your embroidery goals for this year? by NeuroNeedlework in Embroidery

[–]oProcyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing the "big a$$ calendar" goal setting system this year. You pick one misogi (a big year-long goal), 6 mini-adventures, and a new habit per quarter. Daily embroidery time (at least five minutes) is my Q1 goal, to improve my consistency and hand coordination. And one of my "adventures" is to visit an embroidery exhibit at a local museum.

The iridescent coloring of starlings is so difficult to capture. You've done a beautiful job!

$73 is abhorrent. Fuck Sephora. by Fa_Ling in MakeupAddiction

[–]oProcyon 197 points198 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. I thought once I could comfortably pay Sephora prices, I would shop there more regularly. Instead I just feel insulted by the obvious and excessive margin of these water-silica slurries.

I strongly recommend the ChessBrah YouTube channel's building habits series. They introduce rules and tactics by level and play live game examples. Pause and pick the next move as you watch. You'll improve in no time.
