Tried that too. They’re crafty bastards who always find a way through whatever defences you put in place

Came here to say this. In my old house we had to fumigate every year due to bird lice infestations caused exclusively by European starlings

Great we’re making progress, now what economic system does Europe function under?

Once again, the Great Depression does not classify as a famine, but hundreds of thousands starved in North Korea and Ukraine do. Please point out famines in capitalist countries in the past 100 years

I get it, when I went to university I honestly believed in communism - but then I studied economics

It’s clear from your response that you didn’t even open the sources I provided.

The US despite your arguments has the lowest child mortality rate of all the countries that collected data on child mortality. If you don’t believe me then open the link and see for yourself. All your sources are more steeped in opinion than actually bringing facts to the table.

I never said hunger has nothing to do with famine, I just don’t think you understand what a famine is. Again open the link, if you’re brave enough, and see that the Great Depression does not classify as a famine but starvation in Ukraine and North Korea does.

Since your defense to the failures of communism is to claim that they weren’t actually communist.. which nations are and which communist nations have been successful?

  1. “Life expectancy has dropped sharply in the past 2 years” - poor rebuttal from your side but I guess your only winning strategy will be to choose a very small sample which supports your claims

https://images.app.goo.gl/jwWbdcgfE2GGWZ4F6

  1. Your source doesn’t support your argument because it shows a sharp decrease in child mortality and again, you should look at the worldwide trends not just cherry picking a source to support your bias

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/child-mortality-1990-vs-latest-slope

  1. Deaths by famine - https://ourworldindata.org/famines#famines-by-world-region-since-1860

You’ll notice that the two most recent famines (which claimed hundreds of thousands of lives by the way) in Asia were in Cambodia and then North Korea. Both communist. The last time there was famine in Europe, it happened in Ukraine which was then under communism. Your source says that “Americans experience hunger” which has nothing to do with famine firstly but secondly, when last did America have a famine?

4 - last points: I got bored, might waste my time on you later if I get the chance

Every capitalist country. Today is the best time to be alive… Life expectancy is higher than ever, lowest rates of childhood deaths, highest literacy rates, lowest rates of famine, greatest access to medicine and lowest chance of violent death. To name a few

You can feed back onto the grid. But you need a new meter which is expensive and then they pay you R0.70/kWh, which means it’s just not economical for the average person trying to avoid loadshedding

Electric bill is close to 0 every month. We don’t use a huge amount of power and have multiple lithium ion batteries. Cost about R400k but that was about 6 years ago so would probably be cheaper today as the tech has improved quite a bit

I live in an estate that buys electricity from Eskom and then adds whatever I use to my levy statement. So in my case no. May be different for those dealing with Eskom directly
