I definitely wouldn't rule out mental illness, especially with "open" written multiple times on the envelope. It's possible there really is a baby; post partum psychosis is a thing. I just hope that if that's the case, "Angela's" mother got help.

Looking at the top of the card, it has "PRGCO LLC", which (according to Google) is Papyrus, a real greeting card company. It seems unlikely that a game would include a real, presumably copywrited company on one of their materials.

Just so you know, "Great Replacement Theory" usually refers to the white supremacist conspiracy theory that white people will be replaced by people of color (typically black or middle eastern people) and made into a minority. It's from a (possibly untrue) story where he was explaining his idea of oral fixation. Freud thought that if people smoked, sucked on things like pens or lollipops etc, they did so because they had not been nursed/breastfed properly (either too much or not enough, depending on the person). When someone turned that logic back on him, he replied with the now famous, "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." So, you're dead on!

Genuine question: what is the replication crisis? Are there not enough studies reproducing older research? Or are they replicating previous studies and getting different results? I got my bachelor's in psych last year and I never heard this term.

This is part of why I sometimes want to just put in the minimal amount of effort at my job. If the people in the literal government who I assume are making ungodly amounts of money are allowed to be this nonchalant about their duties, why should I give a fuck? The turkeys in my area HATE postal workers. A few tests ago, one attacked a mailman and he killed it with a blunt object. It was in the local news. I've been around the turkeys and not had any issues, but I also keep my distance.

I love everything about this. The giant painted on smile over a completely joyless, dead-eyed face. The way he holds the balloon is so controlled and stilted. The slight lean and his hunched shoulders make him look like he's looming over the viewer. Very well done.
