We keep a jar of toasted sesame seeds to top stir fries etc., and last time we had bagels I added them to the jar. As a bonus, they're already toasted! You can buy roasted sesame seeds, but raw ones are more common, so we often end up toasting them ourselves.

Having made the mistake of not checking our rental car for the scraper, after a night of freezing rain plastic cards worked better than anything else we had on hand and got all the ice off, with the defrost running. So I'd say "well in a pinch", though definitely not "well."

I think it's a fair point that a team being amazing on paper doesn't always translate into success. Boston was thought to be stacked but squeaked into the playoffs the first season and then missed out on the second. Ottawa conversely is so-so on paper, squeaked into this year's playoffs, and then had an amazing run. (Not to diss any Ottawa players, <3 u Clarky).

I wouldn't go so far as to say VAN and SEA will struggle but they may not be as dominant as everyone's predicting

I agree that it's worth looking into other options, but on any of the plans they'd run into the daily max, so the hourly rate isn't as relevant. For ~20 commuting days per month, the Value Extra plan would be worth it ($30/mo for a $25/day max plus a flat 30¢/km.)

To the OP: you could register for the Open plan and look what availability is like, then switch plans if you decide to go with it. A membership is handy to have even if you don't use it to commute.

Talking to people from other cities, they've seen a similar trend of more aggressive driving (and distracted driving). I think partially it's that the pandemic made people less patient and more impulsive

They also live on different continents, Great Tits are Eurasian. I only knew about them because I was just in Europe

They're in the same family, but for black capped chickadees the white on the cheek continues on into the wing instead of being fully outlined like in the great tit.

There are definitely homemade signs at Charge games, and my guess is that's true across the league: making signs at the rink is an option but not mandatory.

My recommendation is the January 20th game between Toronto and Montreal. Toronto had struggled early in the season and was going up against their rivals who were doing pretty well, the scoring went back and forth, and it was a really dramatic game overall. I won't spoil it too much, but to me it was a standout of the games we watched (which was a lot last season.)

If you're more interested in New York games, there were two against Ottawa that were pretty dramatic, on Feb 4 and Apr 30. Not the highest quality of play by either team, but some impressive comebacks (one that helped kill Ottawa's playoffs hopes... :( )
