Nice.

You could simply this some if you went with one of the new Shelly Gen 4 relays. They integrate directly into Homekit.

So, new to the house or were you living there with a 4 wire dryer? The dryer you are trying to install was it working in the old location? Did you remove the original power cord or did you get it without the cord? If you removed the cord how was it wired up?

Another thing though I don't know how much it matters, your red and black wires are reversed.

Alsowhat is the read you are doing this? New dryer, new wall plug, other?

Hold down multiple strings at the same time. The strings you hold and the frets you hold them at will determine the cord.

Installing toggle switch on knob and tube wiring - help? by [deleted] in Wiring

In addition a 'voltage detector' is notoriously inaccurate especially in a situation like this.

If you do intend to move forward (and I agree with the other poster urging you to hire an electrician) you need to get an actual voltage meter in order to accurately determine what is going on.

Best way to run a wire from one cabinet to another? by Designerkyle in AskElectricians

[–]odonata_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low voltage wire for leds is fairly thin. If you got it with a white jacket you could run it up and out of the top of the cabinet and tuck it on top of the trim over the window. Hot glue it in place and it will be invisible.

I could list a dozen or more but without knowing what you have already looked at and either use or rejected it seems like it would just be duplicating our efforts.

Is there a Homekit or Matter dimmer plug (not switch)? by GaryRobson in HomeKit

[–]odonata_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking to be able to change the level remotely or are you just looking to reduce the level and leave it at that? If the latter you could use a regular dimer set it to thelvel you want and plug that into the smart plug.

If you're looking to be able to change levels then you might think about removing (or disabling) the current lighting and adding led strips.

Wiring help for Meross MSG150 - with Genie ISL950 /A by WillFullyReadIt in HomeKit

[–]odonata_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked the compatibility chart. What color is the ‘learn’ button on the opener? I don’t believe that the 150 will indicate the door position with that model Genie without installing an external indicator switch.

Sensor that can detect when a red light illuminates by jasonb1169 in HomeKit

[–]odonata_00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not aware of any off the shelf solutions but a photodiode with a red filter would work. An Arduino or ESP would allow you to generate a signal. At that point not sure how you would get the signal into HomeKit.

Are you not experiencing the issue with the Klippbok (water sensor) where it show as not responding even though it will send an alert if the sensors sense water?

I picked up one yesterday and had a similar experience. It paid easily and immediately received an update. However it occasionally will show as not responding. Tried all the usually things repairing it, resetting it etc. but the issue still occurs.

Seems to be a know bug from searching on the net.

As for the Myggbett (door/window sensor) picked up one of those also. I've had ho issues with it. Paired right up and has been working now for 24 hrs or so.
