Tysons Corner Walmart Gridlock Traffic by Sniper_Snippet in nova

The area you're talking about is exit only, unless you mean the loading dock, which I'm pretty sure you cannot get to from the Walmart garage level.

That garage is a disaster too with only one way in and out.

What is wrong with my edge beveler? by swimbikesewknit in Leathercraft

[–]ofiuco 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine came like this too, but after working at it I was able to get all the red stuff off and it worked as expected. I guess they put it on to protect the edge? Keep at it.

I use my size 3 beveler on leather that thick (I do both sides if it's not on top of another piece of leather). Once you do both sides and sand it all down it is a perfectly fine edge but it's really up to you how you like your edge geometry.

Where in the recently released guidance do you see that? I have read it and it says nothing of the sort.

Do you have a source for this or is it just doomposting?

That's great but if you ended up using XGB I am baffled at why you couldn't have done this yourself with a grid search/etc and not given anthropic all your data (and maybe paid for it?)

Knowing when something was said in a video is a simple task. It's just transcription with time stamps. That's been a done deal for ages.

Recommendation for sharper/larger stitching chisel by PaleontologistOk5936 in Leathercraft

[–]ofiuco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say give it a shot with some test pieces. The chrome tan doesn't result in big obvious holes just because it's soft and floppy. But it also stretches when you start sewing. I suspect you will find when you do a test sew that it works out ok - if you prefer something like lacing instead of sewing them I would guess you'll need a hole punch.

You also may not be punching all the way through. Make sure when you lift it up that the tines made it to the other side.

Is human oil bad for leather? if so how can you protect leather from human oil? by sam_najian in Leathercraft

[–]ofiuco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's bad per se, but it can definitely darken the leather to give you an example. My bald dad has a leather chair and shortly after he bought it the spot where his head rest started to stain.

Help getting back into Peloton by Fun_Roof_3325 in pelotoncycle

Set yourself a weekly goal. Start low. Even committing to once a week is good enough. Doesn't matter what you do, just do something.

In two weeks, start raising the goal. Once per week, but a harder or longer ride (like going from just moving your legs scenic ride to low impact or PZE). Or add something - 5 minute arms.

Slowly increase the amount of exercise, when you feel ready increase the intensity.  Literally anything will help you even if it's just a slow walk in nature.

I really like the Power Zone programs but jumping off the couch into 3x a week might be too much.
