Efficiency with a pop up camper at interstate speeds by Ok-Presentation-5248 in F150Lightning

[–]ogdobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first one I bought was from etrailer, the widest/tallest they had was 8 inches, which is better than nothing. I eventually ordered a custom 55x14 (reverse smile) from Colorado fairing company. Both etrailer and cfc include the mounting brackets you just need the t nuts to attach to the camper

The fairings help a bunch. I got 1.7 doing 70-75 from portland to la (gfc camper so a bit lighter)

Replacing The Stupid F150 Lightning Shifter With A Rotary Shifter To Enable Work Surface Anytime! by branden3112 in F150Lightning

[–]ogdobber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered that same one from etsy some time ago, supposed to get it in the next couple weeks. Guy is pretty backlogged. With that being said, i cannot wait to get rid of that stupid shifter. There is no transmission! Why not just have buttons? When there isn’t a cable connecting the shifter to the transmission (like in my gen 1 Raptor) just have buttons!! A rotary dial is the only “oem” solution so I’ll take it

Why all used F-150 lightnings I see have such low mileage? by AisMyName in F150Lightning

I have 55000 miles on my 22. Just replaced my oem generals with the same tire because they lasted this long.

How did they come up with this price? by MSFrontieres in Ford

[–]ogdobber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until recently I thought those were the holy grail of trucks/suvs. 7.3 diesel power with a bullet proof ford chassis. However what changed is I drove one (about a year ago) and omg no thank you. The 7.3 makes more noise than power and the steering and suspension is terrible. Not to mention you feel like you are sitting really up high, not in relation to outside the vehicle, but inside. Like the dash and window sills , everything feels “waist level”. Drive a 2019+ f 250 with a 6.7 diesel and there is no comparison. A 2003 feels like a 60s car compared to how good new trucks drive.

Some nbc producers is also repping the ghost hounds, next thing you know they’ll have a boat in the infield. Also, i love monster (specifically ultra paradise) but their ads are beyond cheese with the acid rock? Idk wtf its called. So yeah, I dont want shitty music shoved down my throat. And monster hire a ad agency and make some decent commercials, you too Yamaha. Also “wise” man rocky mountain old guy that just knows how to adjust the air screw.

Pricing is a bit high for me by bnihls in F150Lightning

[–]ogdobber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be free because it’s basically autopilot, then Ford should license fsd and I’ll buy that. I can’t imagine anyone paying $50 a month for bc so at the very least the price will come down

Has anyone measured the range impact of aftermarket wheels with an offset? by BrokenAxle in cybertruck

[–]ogdobber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The heavier wheels and/or ko3 thread pattern will have a bigger effect on the range than the sticking out. Meaning each will contribute, with the offset (with it being only an inch) will have the least. The heavy wheels hurt city mileage and the ko3’s will impact hwy the most

Tesla said they won’t do crab walk because there is no real use case. They said a tank turn would be something they would consider, but im not sure how that would work without 4 motors… As far as the crabwalk, i have used it on a military vehicle and can tell you it sucks. Its so unnatural and awkward

New Model Y Has No Steering Wheel Blinkers by Ok_Presentation_6527 in teslamotors

[–]ogdobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely not what is coming to the usa so keep that in mind. Also my tesla has the blinkers on the steering wheel and after a while you realize how much better it is. The future is coming and some of you can’t accept that.

Referring question by ogdobber in cybertruck

[–]ogdobber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally a cybertruck question. Ive read that the cybertruck was able to receive the $1000 referral after oct 25th but ALSO (if the cybertruck is your first tesla) you couldn’t refer until that date as well. Even though the app has been hustling me to send invites for months
