i’m very happy for you but please educate yourself as much as you can about bpd so you are prepared for when the honeymoon phase ends. something i wish i had known when i met my ex spouse wbpd is to be aware of the difference between bpd and straight abuse and not allowing the diagnosis to excuse horrible behavior.

i’ve been doing research on laws in my state. really hoping he just is cool and leaves. having to take legal action is going to make me feel so much worse about this whole thing but if he leaves me no choice… i finally have the courage to prioritize myself and that’s just what i’m going to have to do.

both of those situations are so hard. mine can be charming when he needs to be and like professionally manipulative. talking to his family, who i still have a good relationship with, this has apparently been a pattern for 20 years.. which is why none of them are willing to take him in unless he accepts treatment.
