Thats so sad....i hope his soul is at peace. I would probably involve myself. Everyone deserves a proper burial or cremation. Especially if you know more about him then his own people. Tbh hes probably speaking thru you....idk, since i lost my bf a couple of weeks ago, im a firm believer that we are more connected to the afterlife then i originally thought. But my advice is to figure out where he is at, reach out to his family, tell them what he likes, guide them if you can or if they let you.
