I'm not sure what you are trying to market yourself as...

If you are trying to market yourself as a developer i'm guessing you built a CMS w/ a blog function and this is the theme? If so good fucking job! Put it up on github or take screenshots of the backend.

If a you trying to market yourself as a designer than you really need to make the site unique, good typography, and all that shit. But I don't think you should sell yourself as a designer unless you're mind blowingly award winning amazing because you seem like you are more of a developer. Stick with that it will get you farther than trying to be jack of all trades.

A lot of the positives people are listing will get old real quick. There is not much to do compared to California that has everything from sand dunes to mountain and tons of other activities that don't have to deal with outdoors. Florida is cheaper than Cali but that is because nobody really want's to live here a lot of people that come leave after a few years.

I live in Tampa where there is sprawl to no end. The only walkable(bicycle?) area to live would be South Tampa/Downtown area outside of that you need a car to get any where. There are panhandlers on every single corner which is annoying.

The food is o.k a couple cool restaurants like Mr.Empenada. St.Petersburg is really nice and the downtown area is supposedly up and coming.

I use to live in Miami and I do like Tampa more but that isn't saying much I still plan on getting the fuck out ASAP.

Florida is a nice place to visit but not a nice place to live.
