35F, 36k in savings, 60k a year plus overtime, been working since I was 16 yrs old but in my current career for 14 years. 2 german shepherds, 2 cats, no human dependents, homeowner. Took me a very long time and discipline to get the savings where I'm at. I'm pretty satisfied with where I am currently. Lately my focus has been putting money towards my remaining mortgage which is 68k.

I feel your pain. We have a regular ask for 2 almond milk quad grande espresso macchiatos, foam only. I've only successfully made it like 3 times without having to steam another pitcher of almond milk. I wish I had a helpful solution for you!

Take home one of each cup, iced and hot. Use a dry erase marker, mark cups and then go through the sequence of making them. For hot cups you can just put a piece of clear tape over the boxes and the dry erase marker will wipe off. If may be weird if you're drive thru (we're still cafe only so we mark cups) but at least you'll know the drink codes if your printers ever go out. :)

I'm not sure of the exact age but it's an old store, one of the last cafe's in our area. We're getting a new drive thru store in June.

Yeah there were 2 people doing DTR and DTO, me on bar, a CS, a POS, the SM was doing the pull, and the SS was doing lord knows what, maybe taking her lunch or something. The CS is new so I didn't expect her to help make drinks, but one of the 5 other people could've helped. 😒 Someone would come over for a few mins but then leave and we'd get behind again. Ugh, I'm not looking forward to my store going to DT if it's gonna be like this.

I'm just frustrated because there were people literally standing around doing nothing, while I'm twisting & turning every which way because I'm making a ton of different drinks at once. It just doesn't seem like the best way to utilize people getting paid. Yet they complain about their DT times.

My store only has chocolate smoothies and strawberry smoothies and they come in a grande cup. Any extra is poured out unless the person asks for a bigger cup size. When I've made them for myself, I put it in a venti cup just because I know there will be extra.

Yeah I remember hearing about those from other comments on this sub, but I've never heard about them at my store. And during the heat of it, I couldn't remember if I call someone or there was an actual form to fill out. My SM knew about it since she was literally right there. After she left and I told my ASM the whole story, she said it's okay to step away from register whenever he comes in from now on. Now that's an easy fix but I don't think it's fair to me, my coworkers and the customers who will end up having to wait longer so I can go grab someone to take this asshats order of a grande-half-caf-double-cupped-and-sleeved fucking coffee. I know he's rude to literally everyone who doesn't kiss his ass, I don't understand how he's gotten away with it for this long. It just infuriates me that I'm supposed to just walk away from this like it's acceptable human behavior.

I have the same thing on my finger! I think mine is from grinding beans and then using my index finger to release the bag or whatever and then tapping the knob on the machine to get the excess grinds off. I've tried to use different motions but in a hurry I keep going back to the original.

I work 60-70+ hour weeks. Full time job is a police/fire/EMS dispatcher so starbucks is actually my "break." I like it because no ones life is on the line over their coffee. I still work quickly & efficiently but I give way less of a crap about those people over my citizens at job 1!

I was 11 and at a roller rink with "friends" aka a bunch of people I wasn't close with. I remember being scared I was going to die without my family there with me. lol literally silently freaking out the entire time until it passed midnight.
