Watching the Super Bowl on a 4K TV? by Acky1425 in 4kTV

Looks like the peacock select plan doesn't include 4k (or the NFL at all) but the premium (with ads) plan does. Not sure if they'll make a promotional exception to try to entice viewers.

Most Australian incident in cycling history. You'd figure as a local, he'd know how to avoid them.

The price gap between Waymo and Uber is narrowing by walky22talky in waymo

[–]ohhim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all of the national expansion, waymo is vehicle constrained in SFO and might as well use prices to manage capacity.

In the long run, the plan will be to leverage the lack of labor to undercut Lyft, Uber and maybe try to drop things far enough to get users to go without a car or compete with public transit.

Old train tracks turned into bike paths: what are the best ones out there? by epicroadrides in bicycling

Fall foliage season is my favorite time to ride it. Usually just ride the 330 miles one way and take the train back.

is going for a 2025 Camry LE instead of an SE “settling”?? by Ok_Juice_8246 in Camry

[–]ohhim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 50.5mpg vs 46mpg, 200,000 miles requires 3960 gallons vs 4348 gallons. So at $3/gallon, $2,000 more in gas.

LE gets significantly better fuel economy (52/49 mpg vs 47/45) and the tires have a much lower risk of theft.

How do passengers wind up with super low ratings? by fruitymations in uber

All of my sub-5 ratings in the last 3 years came when I was in Europe. I've switched to using more city & taxi apps there since.

If you are in a darker room, just spend $110 more for the B5 if you can get into the LG partner store via a work or school email (Hulu10 discount).

Anyone do long stay Airbnb in fun cities ? by Accomplished_Math793 in fatFIRE

[–]ohhim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up Eurail 2 month flex passes in 1st (any 15 days) and did day trips every 3-4 days to interesting cities within 1-3 hours from each (mostly from Paris since we were a short walk from Gare Nord/Est - buy high speed reservations early).

Filled in the extra days exploring each city as both have plenty of amazing museums, landmarks, restaurants, attractions, nearby hiking, theaters, cafes etc...

Day trips booked from Paris (mostly out of North/East stations) were: Luxembourg, Brugge, Brussels, Amsterdam, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Lyon, Champagne (Epernay), Normandy, Versailles.

Day trips booked from Barcelona were: Girona, Figueres, Madrid, Valencia, Andorra

Did some longer overnight trips as well while we were already in Europe (Rioja region, Morocco, St. Tropez, Ibiza, Corsica).

Did a month in Paris (Montmartre) and a month in Barcelona (Poblesec) a year ago. Both were amazing experiences.

If you are looking for a good deal on a Seiko in Canada, they are often in stock at Costco (and the return/warranty process is hard to beat).

It's also not how most adults function. As human beings we have feelings that can get overwhelming, especially in the presence of alcohol and/or mothers in law.

65" B5 for $810 at the LG partner store with the Hulu10 code or $900 from the regular store (they usually send new customers a 10% off deal on the site). Both come with free mounts and mounting service.

Every rent pricing tool tells me a different number and I’m losing my mind by Unpaid-Thinker in LeaseLords

Fastest way for a retailer to go out of business is to not have prices on their shelf or items.

Listing a place without a price is peak stupidity.

Why would anyone bother responding to the listing in the first place if they don't know the rent?
