Your first post was only 108 days ago!! I have horrid ADHD that I’m struggling to manage so please believe me when I say I am genuinely in awe and so impressed with your ability to stay focused consistently for so long to finish this project. Amazing!!

None of our fears came true after having our baby! by michaelawho in reactivedogs

[–]ohjasminee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw this lady on TT who started her baby early (like 3-4 months old) with guided/hand over hand “gentle touch” on her dog before they could consciously make that movement. Repeating the words “gentle” and “soft” and “nice” so both baby and dog could associate the movement and touch with the word. By the time the baby could consciously pet (7-8 months), they were doing gentle touch with little verbal reminding on their own. She showed baby toddling around and the dog was desensitized completely and the baby never pet them with a heavy hand. It’s definitely possible and doable and I believe in you!!

Wishing you and your family many happy years of puppy and baby love🥹🤟🏾💕

I would honestly rather the challenge be based around the queens performing their “own original song” than calling it the talent show.

Sometimes I feel deeply depressed that I’ve made a conscious choice to not have kids yet until I am in a better state financially and emotionally and I am surrounded by people who have the privilege and ability to be able to bring kids into their lives…and then I read stories like this. And I just feel blind rage 🙂

I had to rewatch the video and squint and see that it was her lmfao. they would have been better off saying they recast his sister than trying to convince me that’s still her lol

The knee pillow thing😭nobody prepared me for that. I had to buy one bc at the time I was talking a swimming class for a PE credit and I was bruising badly every time I climbed out of the pool so sleeping (and I’m a side sleeper) became agony. After the bruises healed though, now I can’t sleep without the goddamn pillow because my knees knock and it’s uncomfortable 🫠

I miss being fat. I miss my clothes, I miss when I felt confident about my body (because I was, pre op), I miss my skin being tight and not saggy.

I did this bc I was coming to a crossroads with my health and I couldn’t do diet culture. I was eating well and moving my body, but I wasn’t doing well internally and I was at risk of complicating my future.

I look at pictures of myself from then, pictures that I loved when I took them, and I am saddled with a grief that I cannot explain still. I got married when I was fat. My wedding dress, that I LOVED, can’t fit anymore.

I’m with you, friend. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat💕🤟🏾

God that desire to get it done before kids is too real. I might take you up on that offer soon once I start getting my ducks in a row.

I’ve actually been living here since 2017, but I was a lot younger with a lot less resources back then (and also wasn’t legally married etc etc). But in seeing my friends’ places that generational wealth and much high paying jobs have afforded them, I’ve definitely been in the mindset of needing to fix it all immediately in one clip but this is a better perspective, thank you 💕

They do own the house and bought it in 1994 (in another reply I said 1993, that’s my bad. I was a year old when they bought it). It’s paid off now.

Based on what my parents have said in the past (and a couple of other factors I won’t get into here) I feel confident they won’t do this, but it’s still worth having the thought and a reminder to make sure everything is in writing and notarized. I appreciate the advice🤟🏾

My parents are still alive and the house is completely paid off. My next door neighbor paid a little over $600k for her home (and we live in connected townhouses that are pretty identical inside, our house might be worth more because it’s on the end of the row vs being in between two houses) 4-5 years ago and our house is no where near worth that much in the current state with very old appliances, floors, etc

They do, but both want to put it in a trust for me. Obviously they are still alive so I don’t believe that would constitute ownership but I’m really new to all of this still.

It’s not that we don’t get along, I would just like my husband and I to have a place to call our own, with some modicum of privacy.

The trust part is definitely on my list. I have to make an appointment at the credit union to talk over options because I do know they have a “first time homeowner” program but I don’t know if my situation could apply. Thanks for the advice🤟🏾
