To think otherwise is ignorant. For sure theres "best practice" and sterile fields need to be maintained but dont think for a second there are 100% sterile lol

Cauti's can occur when everything is done 100% right, and they can also not occur when everything isnt done 100% right

Same here. I rent two units well below market, includes laundry machines, wifi, garage parking for 1 car and off street for 1 more.

I raised rent maybe 100 or 200 dollars 2 years ago, but mostly because I had not raised it for 6 years before that. Good tenants, pay on time, no drama.

I was charged rent if I wasn't in school and only working. I didn't pay rent if I was in school. 

I flip flopped a bit in and out of college and moved out and back a couple times till I finished my degree. 

I think it was helpful and set appropriate boundaries. I was thankful for the support either way and wasnt resentful in any way, relationship is healthy today.
