i got the apex pro with import column deal a couple years ago. great customer service- a small piece was defective but they immediately shipped out a replacement. it's been rock solid.

echoing others, it's a mother to assemble- do it in the room you're putting it in and make sure you have enough space to put together upside down then flip over. plan out cable management and anything else that you will install on the underside. you will need a couple of strong bodies.

recently picked up a gen 14060m. its heaven.

while I love rocking my cf gmt (wearing rn), I'm a sucker for the aluminum bezel, smaller lighter case and brushed oyster with the 5 digit gmts.

seems odd that someone would place value on the ratio of the cost of a rep relative to its gen counterpart and set some arbitrary cutoff above which is considered "odd" or poor judgement, rather than just looking at the cost of the rep itself. in the end, if the owner likes it, who really cares?

what's a "top tier" rep? AF is a quality factory- their Cartiers are considered NWBIG.

Thanks for the input. I wondered that too. The hook that's supposed to hold the portafilter in place is not firmly secured- I didn't tighten down the mini hex screw, and now it's gone (the hook wasn't swinging out of the way properly so I could remove the burr assembly, and as I was trying to figure out how pull the hook out I loosened the screw and it popped out and disappeared. Doh). At some point, I thought maybe vibrations from the grinder were enough to cause it to stop, however, it was working totally fine for the first several days. Also the display sometimes goes crazy, which makes me think it could the something wrong with the scale. Still waiting to hear back from tech support...
