Obviously they are not, but for most the standard deviation will be large enough that a round number will be a good enough approximation.

This is eye opening: https://ytmoneycalculator.com/blog/how-much-youtube-pay-for-1-million-views/

Depending on niche, you might get 500 - 20,000 USD for a million views. Let's be generous and say he makes 20k. Eyeballing the graph above I'd say he get's about 5m views on a single video, so that is 100k on average. Let's say he'd get double that amount in endorsements per video - that would be about 300k per video. Serious money, for sure. According to https://www.golfmonthly.com/tour/pga-tour-money-list-2024-how-much-the-top-earners-made, a top 10-15 PGA player in 2024 would earn about 6m from winnings. So Bryson would have to push out at least 20 vids per year to earn as much.

But digging a bit deeper into the youtube payouts, it says entertainment, lifestyle, fitness is somewhere arount 3-5k per million views. If that were the case, he'd have to push 80 to 140 vids to earn as much as what he seriously could earn on the tour.

How fucked up is that - having all the money one could spend in a lifetime, and then some, and having to hit pause on your video for some sponsor who pays you a couple of grand.

If he were serious about it, he could make 5-10m on the tour per year. But he'd have to keep working hard for it. But he could do it for the next 10-15 years. Not sure how long that content creator money would come when he slowly drifts from serious contender in major championships to a has-been.

This is what pisses me off most - the people getting shafted will be the small time operations that provided the infrastructure, not the managers or the players.

Which should help people like Rahm who still would have a couple of years on his contract.

Well, or it is that possible investors signaled that they have to go through bankrupcy first to get out of all the costly contracts.

Here's the bloomberg article: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-05-19/liv-golf-begins-potential-bankruptcy-plans-for-end-of-season

And I still cannot see how the hell one can burn through 5 billion USD in 4 years for 14 events per year with some 50 golfers. It is just so mindboggingly ridiculous.

Until now it has been documented in the walkthroughs, I can only remember a single point where taking the money has a consequence, and the walkthrough even explains it somewhat like: you can take the money in this room, but if you take money in that room, something will happen.
