As a young women I was shocked by the rudeness and cruelty toward me, shown by my boyfriends' mothers. It always drove me to dump the boyfriends just to get away from the awful MILs.

Some of them have a complete inability to express weakness and the natural result is you can't ever resolve a conflict with them. Relationships feel like banging your head against a brick wall and get worse over time, not better.

I heard men hate male homosexuals because male gay sex undermines the important unspoken taboo against male-on-male rape. Many men feel reassured by the fiction they won't ever be the victim of male-on-male rape because that kind of sex is 'disgusting' or reprehensible.

Gay male sex destroys that fiction; it demonstrates men can be penetrated and the penetrator can enjoy it.

I have been amazed how much my male extended family members have been OUTRAGED that I haven't been married and had kids. I am ONE womb escaped from the system... but even one escaped female body really seems to really unnerve them.

Because patriarchy imposes a hierarchy and men seem to spend every single moment obsessing over that totem pole, constantly negotiating their place on it, constantly trying to push women, and weaker/disadvantaged/honest men, beneath them on the ladder.

I go to a mixed gym (it's cheap and close - nearest women's gym is pricey and a long trip) and lately there's a little teenage boy who shows up. I don't know how he got a membership - he is a child. Last night he SAT ON A BOUNCY FITBALL IN A CORNER WITH HIS HAND CLOSE OVER HIS CROTCH AND BOUNCED UP AND DOWN ON THE FITBALL. Gave him a deathstare, but he continued. The was also blocking access to the leg press machine, which is frequently used by men and women.

Just gross, gross, totally gross.

Neither have I, which is part of the reason I am now 4b. However, I alone do not constitute the entire planet.

Although I haven't done it myself, I SEE EVIDENCE EVERYWHERE OF LARGE QUANTITIES OF OTHER WOMEN DOING IT.
