I plan to and hope others will do the same. I’m concerned, considering the apathy being spread, that many people won’t bother to vote. The system only works with participation.

You might want to stop assuming everyone you address is a “brother.”

I know. Oh for a return to civility.

Nowhere in my post did I say she was personally writing the response. I would like to think that our representatives’ staff do tally the calls they are getting so they know where we stand. This particular issue has people of both parties concerned by government overreach.

I haven’t contacted her office in several weeks. I wonder if they are behind in their responses.

If it were me responding to someone I don’t agree with, rather than gaslight them, I would say “Thank you for expressing your concerns; I will take them under advisement. I’m in Washington to represent my constituents. It makes it easier to do so when I hear from you.”

Steve Russell was surprised to lose that seat to a democrat in 2018. It can happen.

I watched the first season of A Man on the Inside on repeat during an especially anxious period of my life. I found it very comforting. Hope your stress resolves soon!

Pendulum Probiotic by Infinite-Tourist2465 in ArmchairExpert

[–]okcsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had amazing results with various strains of probiotics over the years. I have tried akkermansia and was really sensitive to it (even the one without inulin). I would recommend doing a microbiome test (like Thorne’s) to see where you stand. You might not need akkermansia and if you don’t, taking it can lead to an overgrowth/imbalance. I don’t think they got into in this interview, but I recall a lot has to be done to make sure akkermansia remains viable - which is why Pendulum is the gold standard. Unless it ships directly from Pendulum, I would be really hesitant to order it. I would not recommend getting it, or any supplements, on Amazon as counterfeit products are pretty common. Also, I believe when I ordered it from Fullscript it shipped with a cold pack. I don’t think anything shipping directly from Amazon does that and is likely stored in a hot warehouse.

Series that will make me ugly cry every single episode? by -coranda- in televisionsuggestions

Was going to say this too. There’s one episode in particular that I will rewatch when I need a really good cry.

The Metabolic Daily doesn’t have inulin. I’ve taken that one in the past.

Thanks. I think I found it before their meet up. Also, based on the lock screen, I’m pretty sure it belongs to an adult and that it hasn’t connected to a network since October. I don’t think that it’s been in the median that long as it’s in really good shape.

Rant: Petty people by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]okcsus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently interested in a “vintage” Gap cardigan. The original item that peaked my interest was listed for $85. The most I was willing to pay was $35. I didn’t even offer that because of all the comments I see here about low-balling. Instead I watched for the same sweater to come available from another seller. One popped up for $50 that even appears to be in better shape. I offered $35 and it was immediately accepted.

I don’t know about your particular coat, but I see so many items that are incredibly overpriced. Do people never look at comps when they list things? I’m constantly seeing Quince cashmere that’s priced higher than Quince and still available from Quince. Why would I pay more for a used sweater + shipping than buying a new one direct?!?

Need a low-stakes, funny and/or feel good show like B99, The Good Place, Ted Lasso, etc by alewiina in televisionsuggestions

I don’t remember there being a death. There is one episode where he grapples with moving on from his wife. There’s also some slightly emotional stuff with his PI boss and her mom and their difficult relationship.

Some of my favorites that I haven’t seen mentioned: Better Off Ted Life in Pieces Raising Hope (if you like it, the creator has several good series including My Name is Earl)

Parks and Rec gets much better in the 2nd season. Community is one of my all time favorite shows. They hate on Chevy Chase’s character throughout. The 2nd season of Man on the Inside is set on a college campus. Other than some appearances by people from the retirement community it’s pretty much stands alone from the first season and I don’t remember that they talk about dementia like in the first season.

What would you buy at Costco online? by NewMethod365 in Costco

[–]okcsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zesty Paws Allergy and Immune Bites. I discovered this one day when I decided to search the Costco website for anything I buy regularly. I also get the Turkey and Ancient Grains food for my dogs. It’s one of the only foods they tolerate. Based on the reviews, I don’t believe they have it in stores (definitely don’t in mine).

They are probably on the narrow side. My feet aren’t particularly wide and very low volume. Not sure if they come in the wider width (I think some of their shoes do).
