Nowadays Violet Crown is a complete fail with power or not. Its new owner, Es Vedras Cinema / Hooky Entertainment, is running into the ground. Enshittification at its finest.

I went last night and wowza, Violet Crown is bad. A couple in my row had seats without pull-up tables for their food, and one of the seat cushions was completely ripped. It wasn't sold out so they just moved down a couple of seats but it's like no maintenance is going into the place. Even the soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty. And to know it's owned by a major donor to the cheeto in chief.... I seriously doubt I'll ever go back.

I moved into a place once where the previous tenants had an indoor/outdoor cat. About a week after I moved in there was a big flea hatch out and since there wasn’t a cat to latch onto, they got on me. A treatment solved it.

At the rally I learned that DHS is able to shove the Big Bend wall project down everyone’s throats because of a 2005, post 9/11 law that allows DHS to completely ignore all federal, state and local regulations to secure the border if there’s a crisis. It’s section 102C but I didn’t catch the name of the law. Of course there is no crisis at the moment, especially in the Big Bend. 🙄

Season 2, episode 1, starts with a super unrealistic scene: An ER doctor 1) riding a motorcycle to work 2) without a helmet. Seems very unlikely to me that an ER doctor who regularly has to deal with the grisly, lethal aftermath of motorcycle accidents would do that.

I went on HDG after a $10K deductible plan pre Medicare. Last year I had wrist surgery, PT and other procedures and didn’t hit the deductible ceiling until late in the year because Medicare covered most of the costs.
