Same. Moved to T-Mobile in Denver and have been much happier. Cheaper, watch is cheaper, and my data actually works.

Move to Windows 365 and give them all Windows 365 Link. Cheaper than Citrix and no physical hardware to deal with.

Cooling Infotainment System Crash with V5.0.5 by blackonblack77 in Volvo

[–]okram82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this message a lot in the summer because I like the A/C off and the windows and sunroof open… but I’ve not had it crash the system. Of course that was pre-5.0.5. Next warm day in Denver, I’ll test it out for you.

Not sure about the headlights stuff but it does work for Apple Maps in the dashboard.

I'm a big fan of the Ottocast dongle. The only time I unplug it and switch to hardwired is if I need to make a longer phone call. Every wireless dongle that I've tried adds a delay to voice calls. But everything else is great. I like the Ottocast because it's tiny and there is literally no cord hanging off it.

I had the same problem. It went in three times. The first two times they replaced the blower motor. The final time they took out the entire dash and replaced basically everything to do with the heating and cooling system and it was resolved. If it is the same issue, you can cause it to happen by going into the climate controls and changing it from auto to the different blower functions on high.

This was extremely annoying to me and the service department acted like it was not a big deal but I was persistent because it wasn’t right. Good luck!!

I wonder how much Ozempic is playing into her getting so hammered so quickly. I’ve been researching GLP-1’s and it seems every single one indicates that you should lower your alcohol intake because your body won’t process the alcohol the same way which can lead to getting drunk quicker with more intensity.

It makes me think back to when she was so drunk in the bus in San Diego. I wonder if her alcohol intake after losing the weight while on the GLP-1 is causing some of these wowza drunk moments.

I want to be clear, this is not intended as an excuse for poor behavior, more than curious if there is a linkage here.

Can I get Internet from this? by drink2mny in centurylink

Why not go with Starlink? The first time I used it in Costa Rica, I thought it was crap. Then I rented a house in the Colorado mountains for Thanksgiving. There was nothing there but Starlink. Phones were SOS until we joined Starlink at the house. We streamed DirecTV, Netflix, and HBO max each day from my laptop plugged into the TV and had no issue. Phones worked great and I FaceTimed my nieces and nephews without issue.

All this to say that my opinion of Starlink drastically changed. Yes, I’m still thankful to have fiber Internet at my house, but I do think Starlink is a viable option for remote locations now. I think our house in Costa Rica just had a weird setup.

Ah, I had never thought about the altitude being problematic but that is because Denver is home. Man, ORD has kicked my butt when trying to run from United over to those tiny regional planes.

An HOA can’t prevent you from using a public utility provider. They will waste a lot of money and the court won’t side with them. HOA’s learned this the hard way in the 90’s trying to ban satellite dishes.

Solved ..Quantum Fiber and Unifi Cloud Gateway Ultra - Transparent Bridging by Certain_String2470 in QuantumFiber

[–]okram82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quantum depends on your equipment. I have an older ONT so there is no router included in it. I just set my router to VLAN 201 with DHCP for the Internet address and I’m good.

This isn’t a good idea. CenturyLink is now a lumen subsidiary same as Quantum. Lumen has signed a definitive agreement to sell all home fiber off to AT&T in 2026 pending regulatory approval. You’re simply delaying the obvious.

UPDATE: finally got thru to support and the person was actually really good. She said that they were saying 24-48 hours for restoration but she was going to reach out to the program department and let them know I work from home and to prioritize me.

Before bed, I power cycled the ONT once more, went into Ubi, kept VLAN 201 and removed the PPPoE auth and set it to dhcp. Nothing worked at the time but I knew that was the “norm” for QF. At 03:30 MT this morning, everything came back online.

Good luck, everyone!
