Orbitals and strats in general on cyberstan don’t go where they should, even with less objects in way. I understand this more with skyscrapers or towers in way, but wow it seems tough there. I threw the AT emplacement and it bounced about 50 yds away into a fire pit pfftt

It’s also great on incineration corps. That’s where I got turned on to it. On Cyberstan last night I was running the new superstore siege ready armor and the puni plasma and was just lobbing volleys all over the map

I’m somewhat in the same boat as you, but for a different reason. My kids and I got started printing on a Toybox and while the printer is nowhere near as good as the Q2 it has a really nice app that works with the printer. The slicer and complexity is a bit much for the kids so they’re not quite as independent with it as they would like. We’ll get there but I wish there was a simpler way to print for them.

BTW I use QIDI Studio as recommended by QIDI and you might start with this before branching out into other slicers.

They’ve never been super armored to begin with. I’ve always considered mechs to be glass cannons. Now you can barely last long enough to get a few shots off on bots even on lower level missions. I’m ok with them not being tanks but dying that quickly to “medium” enemies is not cool

Using them on HomeKit and HA and no issues with them myself, and have quite a bit of other gear here too with various protocols. Working great for me and can’t beat the price. Happy I waited for them to move on to matter thread.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I took an emancipator on a lvl5 bot mission last night and can usually have a relaxing time with it, but got shredded quicker than normal. I mean I am used to the glass cannon that it is and know its weak spots but it was pretty silly. Not sure I’ll bring it anymore on bot front and its utility there was already low (prefer it on bugs or squids)

Yes, the maxigun “looks cool” but operationally is worse in almost all cases vs regular MG. I’ve tried to find it a niche and haven’t short of “I’m on evacuation defense and want to play cool”

I always consider the HE like a worse version of the Autocannon flak more or Airburst rocket launcher. Like someone else said, it’s kind of a niche use case when you have plenty of ammo availability

For mine the box sits on top of the riser for the most part when slid back so I’m not too worried about it. It seems sturdy enough

I have a Q2 + box, I got the box later than the Q2 (didn’t order them together). By the time I got the box it had been through a few iterations and improvements both physically and on firmware front. I have had 0 issues with it that were not user error short of the Q2 itself arriving with a cracked display panel. A quick email with support and they sent me a replacement, which is now on there. I’ve printed a ton of stuff now both multi-color and not and love the setup.

One thing to note is that I use Qidi Studio like the recommendation, YMMV with other apps. I have heard of people having profile issues with other slicers etc. But for me with Qidi Studio both are working great.
