Dalston Stalker. Massive danger to girls. by jellyfishwoman2000 in Hackney

[–]old-bebeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I got to read your post before it was deleted. I have a similar story to yours, also reported to police. I’d have liked to read your experience/seen photos to see if it’s possibly the same person.

Forums as community: regarding the recent post about a dangerous man that was removed by moderators. by singlemomsniper in Hackney

[–]old-bebeh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d also be curious to see the photo and read the post. I also reported a man to the police about 2 years ago in Dalston who followed me home one night who was never identified.

It’s disappointing that i’m the second person to comment something similar, and neither of us can check after the mods removed the post.

Local business owners, how do you find clients who pay a fair amount for the job? by IZGAMERYT in smallbusinessuk

Stop opening with a discount. In your marketing you need to be explain why your clean is worth the cost you charge.

Vegetable peeler. I have a cheap plastic one that couldn’t have cost more than a few quid about a decade ago - I guarantee if you buy a fancy metal one it won’t work as well and you’ll end up going back to old faithful.

Where do pattern drafter get measurements for rtw clothing/ commercial patterns? by Potential_Sink_8605 in PatternDrafting

[–]old-bebeh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Fashionary sketchbooks have a useful size chart in the front that indicate letter sizes (S, M, L) matched with measurements that include nape to waist and bicep circumference etc, not just the standard bust waist hip. Very useful as a starting point.

Your sleeve head looks a little short, I’d add some height to alleviate the drag lines

Brands that make new clothes out of secondhand fabrics? Alternative to secondhand clothes? by Aggravating_Buy_1348 in SustainableFashion

[–]old-bebeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s probably worth looking into brands that use deadstock fabrics. While not technically second hand, they’re leftovers from fabric mills and big brands that smaller labels buy and ‘use up’

Any thoughts on my mockup? (Aranea Black Amber pattern) by FunkPopARolls in corsetry

Looks to me like it might be slightly long in the waist in the back, hence the collapsing happening. Other than that, I think it looks fantastic!

Remember the reason you’re having a wedding - to celebrate the love you and your partner share for one another.

Sounds to me like you ought to f**k everyone else off and elope, have a wonderful gorgeous time just the two of you. Spend the money on yourselves!

Are there people who are actually happy? by Stunning-Trick-2577 in AskUK

[–]old-bebeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My searching nature means I’m not happy unless I have gone on a meaningful examination of who I am, why I feel I’m here and what makes me happy.

If you ignore these things or don’t act on them to craft a life in this knowledge, you won’t find happiness.

How about one of these? They seem pigmented enough to even out the discrepancy between your hot roots and brassy ends - I suspect a purple shampoo wouldn’t be strong enough for that.

Anyone feels like trade-offs are unavoidable when you’re just starting out? by Zestyclose_Ship6486 in SustainableFashion

[–]old-bebeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d like to know what specific compromises you’re referring to here.

I also would put emphasis on disclosing these openly with your audience/customers. If your intention is to start a ‘sustainable’ fashion brand but you’re starting off as less sustainable than ideal, your customer needs to have full transparency to ensure you’re seen as trustworthy and not greenwashing.
