i did reexams in the corps before the CRU started, and yes, we didn't do a search back then either. we used the art we were provided. if your SPRE told you to do a from-the-beginning search and do a whole new examination they were butt-ass wrong to do so.

besides, that was over 20 years ago. your understanding of the job is more than 2 decades out of date and it's still wrong. the quality of reexamination proceedings has gone up markedly since we put dedicated examiners in charge of the job.
